The so called "SS Panzerkorps" was invloving the 5th SS wiking, 1st LSAH, 2nd Ras Reich,, 3rd Totenkopf. But there were 3 SS Panzerkorps in the War, the wiking division for example was part of the 3rd SS Germanic Panzerkorps, Das Reich, Totenkopf and beside them Hohenstauften and Fundsberg were part of the 2nd SS Panzerkorps and the 1st LSAH, 12th HJ, Götz von Berlichingen.
So in this case this battle must have invloved all 3 Panzerkorps at the same time. but then a lot of divs are missing.
uhhhh this documentary is tooooo biast and does not depict what happend. 1st of it was a huge victory for the SS panzer Corp which consisted of about 70,000 men against 360,000 soviets and the defensive tactics proved a sucsess. The germans alone destroyued 500 t-34s without losing a single tank in the early stages of the defence. Also big deal if the the SS panzer corp was destroyed. The amount of soviets needed to take kharkov would have been amense tacking presure off of the other divisons.
IN total here you lost 70000 men and the germans lost 4500. So its really embarrising how you fougth some battles and the Majority of those soliders were not criminals but soldeirs. The small number of criminals havs given the Waffen SS a bad name but your the one who has to look at history and you will see that Nordland, of Hohenstaufen did not any crimes at all for example.

15 000 in Germsn division - it was before front combats. Afterwards - less in twice and more. Gun, air strikes on the roads, near bridges made heavy lossses. Thousands were killed. Russians revenged for 1941-1942, the Allies bombed having absolute superiotity in the West.
In 1914-1918 some units were destroyed by gun fire. In 1915 Russin Army had no sufficient shots. It was tragedy too.
In the pocket ca.100000 german forces were trapped of whose 10000-15000 died, 50000 got prisoner and ca. 30000 managed to escape.
I know that battle very well, but it lasted for 9 days so in that time the division who got hit most, 12th SS HJ lost 94% of its Armour. The air superiority was responsible for the majotity of destroyed tanks in the whole west, they were the only enemies the heavy tanks really had to fear (exception M26).

NO the best tank in the war all in all was the Panther, in the defensive operations the german armour was better thanthe offensive, as you said in 1941 the german armour failed in offensive before moscow thats true, but in 1944 and 1945 german heavy tanks in defensive were extremley sucessfull but couldnt change much because there were so few of them, look at the destroyed-lost ratios of the heavy tank detachements.

What you say is overestimated by many people, I will give you the facts now for all schwere Panzerabteilungen units, you can make your own point out of em.
IN total 868 tanks were self destroyed or given up due to technical problems, the tanks lost in combat was 712 tanks.
The destroyed- lost ratio in combat was 12 - 1, but all in all, all lost tanks divided by all destroyed enemy tanks is a ratio of 6.3
So 6.3 enemy tanks destroyed for every heavy tank lost in any way, still very impressive

And just a random information which i find is very intressting is the total k-d ratio of german and russian tanks (all types) on the eastern front. in total it was exacly 3.26
but in 1941 the ratio was 1 - 7.43 for germans, very high, in 1943 1 - 3.52, nearly half that much, in 1944 1 - 2.63, a third nearly and in 1945... 1 - 1.18, nearly same.

It is wrong. 1: 1,7 ( the Axis - the USSR, in battles ). But you must count alive Germans after being POW in the USSR and Soviet men KILLED IN THE NAZI CAMPS. Besides Germans there were many "normal europeans" and collaborates (French for eg.) who were killed in the East.
Thats KIA - killed in action i didnt count those who died in pow, that would be around 3 million russians and 1 million germans but still the russians had higher casualties in the field. Nearly always, even in the biggest defeat on the estern front, Stlaingrad the russsians lost far more men than the germans.

I was born in Kharkov, even though I live in the US now. It's pretty intense to see videos of the fighting for my city, my grandmother lived through it. She was somewhere there, surviving in the outskirts. Crazy stuff.

Such a shame, Hitler had the greatest group of generals assembled in history to execute his catastrophic plans. Had he listened to them-The Battle of Britain would have seen the destruction of the RAF;if he had concentrated on Moscow and ignored the Caucasus, things would have ended much differently. Of course, even after Stalingrad, the German army was still strong enough that would conduct a decisive offensive - an example to Kharkov. SS division remained the most combat-ready parts of the Wehrmacht until the end of the war is not over togo.Unfortunately mistakes were made not only the Russian ......:D

It was planned and executed by Eric von Manstein, who arguably was one of the greatest generals who has ever lived. The war itself was the most brutal and horrible that has ever been fought, and I am speaking about the Eastern Front WW2. Thank God the Germans were defeated. That does not diminish the brilliance of the generalship in this campaign.

2. SS panzerkorps were the serios enemies, for the Allies in Ardenn (end of 1944) too.

The so called "SS Panzerkorps" was invloving the 5th SS wiking, 1st LSAH, 2nd Ras Reich,, 3rd Totenkopf. But there were 3 SS Panzerkorps in the War, the wiking division for example was part of the 3rd SS Germanic Panzerkorps, Das Reich, Totenkopf and beside them Hohenstauften and Fundsberg were part of the 2nd SS Panzerkorps and the 1st LSAH, 12th HJ, Götz von Berlichingen.
So in this case this battle must have invloved all 3 Panzerkorps at the same time. but then a lot of divs are missing.

uhhhh this documentary is tooooo biast and does not depict what happend. 1st of it was a huge victory for the SS panzer Corp which consisted of about 70,000 men against 360,000 soviets and the defensive tactics proved a sucsess. The germans alone destroyued 500 t-34s without losing a single tank in the early stages of the defence. Also big deal if the the SS panzer corp was destroyed. The amount of soviets needed to take kharkov would have been amense tacking presure off of the other divisons.

IN total here you lost 70000 men and the germans lost 4500. So its really embarrising how you fougth some battles and the Majority of those soliders were not criminals but soldeirs. The small number of criminals havs given the Waffen SS a bad name but your the one who has to look at history and you will see that Nordland, of Hohenstaufen did not any crimes at all for example.

In 1944-1945 the Germans got such defeats. Only Soviet artillery destroyed near 20 000 near Zvenigorodra. The US Air Force had the whole superiority in the West and destroyed some German divisions without any repulse.

And what you say that whole divisions were destroyed in the west my US Air force is wrong. Never ever has a single division been destroyed at one time. What you are talking about is probaly the Attacks from the air in the falaise pocket where many incirceld divisions tried to escape, the 12th SS Hitlerjugend was hardly damaged but not completley destroyed.
A german division had ca. 15000 men in average, what you say is just wrong.

About "the fire pockets" - made by artillery, air force. They were.
15 000 in Germsn division - it was before front combats. Afterwards - less in twice and more. Gun, air strikes on the roads, near bridges made heavy lossses. Thousands were killed. Russians revenged for 1941-1942, the Allies bombed having absolute superiotity in the West.
In 1914-1918 some units were destroyed by gun fire. In 1915 Russin Army had no sufficient shots. It was tragedy too.

In the pocket ca.100000 german forces were trapped of whose 10000-15000 died, 50000 got prisoner and ca. 30000 managed to escape.
I know that battle very well, but it lasted for 9 days so in that time the division who got hit most, 12th SS HJ lost 94% of its Armour. The air superiority was responsible for the majotity of destroyed tanks in the whole west, they were the only enemies the heavy tanks really had to fear (exception M26).

In the East German tanks were stopped near Moscow, Tula... Leningrad, Sevastopol... in 1941 by artillery and men with hand grenades and "fire bottles". IT COSTED ... In 1945 near Balaton the Red Army troops crushed the 6-th SS tank army , moved from West to defend Hungerian oil. Assault planes IL-2 were very succsesful in this battle.

Now you should read about the Schwere Panzerabteilungen. That means the german heavy tank dettachments with TigerI,II. The total destoryed enemy tanks - own lost tanks was 12 - 1 in combat. Thats says something really. The heavy german tanks were far supierior vs. russian tanks which in most cases were T-34.
red army was the overwhelming manpower and production of equipment wich overpassed the german by far. IL-2, good but on that I say Stuka Schlachtfileger, Hans Ulrich rudel.....

"the overwhelming manpower" was in China - 200: 20 diviisions (Chinese- japanese). WWII - was the war of motors. Soviet people could make "The Weapon of Victory".

NO the best tank in the war all in all was the Panther, in the defensive operations the german armour was better thanthe offensive, as you said in 1941 the german armour failed in offensive before moscow thats true, but in 1944 and 1945 german heavy tanks in defensive were extremley sucessfull but couldnt change much because there were so few of them, look at the destroyed-lost ratios of the heavy tank detachements.
The T34 was good, better than the main german tank PzIV.

and about hvy armors in late war,most of them had small tecnical issues that couldnt be repaired because of lack of supply,they were divided from their repair company,each platoon fighting on other place instead fight of whole regiment with repaircompany..or simply no fuel. we produced much more stuff in 1944 than before.despite bomb terror.they found out that we lack fuel and bombed synthetic fuel factories

What you say is overestimated by many people, I will give you the facts now for all schwere Panzerabteilungen units, you can make your own point out of em.
IN total 868 tanks were self destroyed or given up due to technical problems, the tanks lost in combat was 712 tanks.
The destroyed- lost ratio in combat was 12 - 1, but all in all, all lost tanks divided by all destroyed enemy tanks is a ratio of 6.3
So 6.3 enemy tanks destroyed for every heavy tank lost in any way, still very impressive

And just a random information which i find is very intressting is the total k-d ratio of german and russian tanks (all types) on the eastern front. in total it was exacly 3.26
but in 1941 the ratio was 1 - 7.43 for germans, very high, in 1943 1 - 3.52, nearly half that much, in 1944 1 - 2.63, a third nearly and in 1945... 1 - 1.18, nearly same.

I have gone trough much literature about the eastern front and all i can say is that all claim the same in general, russians had quantity, germans quality.
Lets face it,
Tanks, german aces far more sucessfull, best german tank ace 168 destroyed enemy tanks, russian 63.
Planes, Best german pilot 354, best russian not even 100.
Battle of narva is my favourite battle on the eastern front, a example how embarrising the red army was even in late 1944..... that battle you should check

Finn: Eino Juutilainen 94
Japanese:Hiroyoshi Nishizawa 87
Russ :Ivan Kozhedub 62
Romania: Constantine Cantacuzene 60
As you can see even small Finnland had better pilots that russia XD The germans were only ones to have +100 pilots, +200 and +300 so they are over 4 times overcalseed than your russian best if you talk about classes.
Best american had 40, best brit not good i know.

Battle of Narva 1944. Feb - Aug the russians attacked german lines time after time, failed everytime. They had 200000 men, germans 125000. The losses were finaly....
14000 KIA germans.... 145102 KIA russians.. Thats more than 10 times higher casualties, and that with a superior force in the late stage of the war where you said the russians were superior. The battle was a german defensive victory and showed that russians (officers responsible for the fail) were totaly uneficient.

even taht is wrong, Cassino was taken by Plish troops under british service in may 1944. The gustav line broke at the same time, in may.
The next defense, Gothic line was borken in december. No, the soviets hided many such battles where russians lost in the late stages, anotehr good example is the battle in which the 6th Panzer army you named held the line in Debrecen whre axis lost 35000 and russians 117000 in december 1944. Or the battle of Bauzten April 1945, last german tank offensive.

In all invasions the invaders had graces yes but you always had many many more. On the eastern front in ww2 you lost 10.008.434 men in dead while the Axis lost 2.742.909 in dead.
So you had to dig nearly 4 times as many graves and I wouldnt call that a victory but a disaster for your population and If I were russian I would be ashamed By Stalin who led the russian peoeple in that blood bath by his mindless officers who let them die like piggs.

It is wrong. 1: 1,7 ( the Axis - the USSR, in battles ). But you must count alive Germans after being POW in the USSR and Soviet men KILLED IN THE NAZI CAMPS. Besides Germans there were many "normal europeans" and collaborates (French for eg.) who were killed in the East.

Thats KIA - killed in action i didnt count those who died in pow, that would be around 3 million russians and 1 million germans but still the russians had higher casualties in the field. Nearly always, even in the biggest defeat on the estern front, Stlaingrad the russsians lost far more men than the germans.

I have a 10 DVD set that chronicals WW2 made by the History Channel, and it clearly states that it was decided by Allied High Command (Roosevelt, Churchhill, Eisenhower, etc) that Hitler was not to be assasinated because they feared an intelligent, thoughtful tactician would replace him.

I don't doubt what your saying one bit. The moral boost to the allied troops would have been enormous. It would have also deflated thier own troops too. Its easy for the allies to say after the war that they could have killed him but didn't. Like you said, the winners kind of skew things thier way. Good to have a healthy, non-swearing debate with you though! Most people I debate with are ignorant asses that resort to name calling when they disagree with me:)

I was born in Kharkov, even though I live in the US now. It's pretty intense to see videos of the fighting for my city, my grandmother lived through it. She was somewhere there, surviving in the outskirts. Crazy stuff.

Pretty much every European country had a few colonies here and there a hundred years ago. That means they destroyed countless more countries when America was still in it's infancy.
