  • Yes it is unusual for a Greek Orthodox church but this is a particular tradition of the Cathedral in London which drew much influence from the surrounding Russian Embassy Chapel in the 18th century. The melody itself is Byzantine, while the arrangement yes has a slavonic slant to it. I am glad you enjoyed it.
