@dewfish, I mean't as in their music used to be social conscious-driven style, but in this vid, Naledge confirms that he's music is now about "Money & Bitches." Which is kind of sad because I was looking up for these dudes based from spitting out knowledgable and entertaining lyrics to the listeners. Now is not like that anymore. Regardless, I still respect the dudes work, but is a letdown to see them dumbing down their original brand that they intended to in the past.
@SpikeyJamez artists change. nothing stays the same forever. like BIG said, "i'm not broke, cant rhyme about being broke anymore." You have your entire life as inspiration for your first album. your second or third album is based on the 2 or three years after the first album. and everything in that time is completely different from your life before the first album. can't expect the same material.
@dewfish, Don't get me wrong some changes definitely can end up making artist stay dope such as Atmosphere, Sole & The Skyrider Band, Aesop Rock and some of the other independent artists, but Kidz In The Hall new direction isn't for me.
