  • They need to release this on download for xbox 360 and ps3 nobody owned saturns and nobody got to play this.

  • I understand what you mean Dinnerforever

  • Play count of Soft Museum .... 5.000.000 times ? I LOVE THIS SONG !

  • Best way to describe this song's style is like.. Camelot charm, with some serious RnB undertones going with the bass, I love it.

  • When I got Christmas NiGHTS, I seriously plugged the audio cables into my stereo and recorded like five or six remixes of this song to cassettes using the Xmas NiGHTS sound test. I made a few mixes out of the other songs too, but this one... there's a special place in my heart for this song. Still have my Saturn and still play this level, all the time. ^_^

  • @Sparksterchan omg you and me both! i tapped every frikin track! this seriously is one of the best games ever produced i rekon! wish they had have carried the same nostalgia over to JOD :(

  • @akongas jod soundtrack is actually really good, give it another try, the same person produced that one also. Its a shame but I feel JOD is actually more underrated then it deserves to be :)

  • @Sparksterchan my dude!

  • @TheSoldierSaints Yeah, it's weird thinking that only a few types of music can stay relevant during one period of time. By now classical music is secluded to small groups of people, while popular music is on the radio, on TV, in schools, and other places. I think all genres of music should stay relevant at any given period of time. I'm actually thinking of opening a music blog soon, with multiple genres of music, and maybe that'll convince some of my friends to be more open!

  • make that...50 Likes! one of my all time favorite video game songs!...EVER!!

  • I used to play this level JUST for this song.

  • man you are not lieing lol. whenever i play this, it always reminds me of the good old days. takes me back lol. dam good song

  • This song belongs in a museum, that's for sure...

  • @fjrsm And it would have been.... If not for Tomb Raider.

  • @TheSoldierSaints NiGHTS is better than Tomb Raidern in SO many ways. I mean, I haven't even played NID (I've played JOD though), and it's already my 2nd favorite video game franchise of all time, just barely tagging behind Sonic. The music is an incredible masterpiece, and someone should petition then Smithsonian to make room for NiGHTS. Tomb Raider was a game, but NiGHTS was a masterpiece, an adventure in itself. So NiGHTS has every right to be in that museum.

  • @bmsoundtrack Trust me, pal. I am the exact same way. The only difference in that statement for me is that my favorite game is Okami. NiGHTS is just barely behind. I was very disappointed that the poll to put NiGHTS or Tomb Raider into the Smithsonian Museum "The Art of Gaming" decided that Tomb Raider was more artistic than NiGHTS. I totally agree with you. NiGHTS was way more deserving for that spot than Tomb Raider. But nothing can be done about that now. I know it's a shame.

  • @TheSoldierSaints Well, with those passionate people running NID.com, you never know! NiGHTS could still get in, with some help from... THE ENTIRE NiGHTS fanbase!!!

  • @bmsoundtrack Yeah. You're right! I almost forgot about that! Just like with NiD15!

  • @TheSoldierSaints Well, I think it's just nice to know that some people know what NiGHTS is! People can be so ignorant! NiGHTS is truly the hidden gem. It must be, if it's soundtrack contains my favorite song! (Check this out @ /watch?v=P384FoKw_Uw. Trust me it's different than what you might expect, unless you've seen it before ;)

  • @bmsoundtrack Ah yes, Paternal Horn. Yeah, NiGHTS has the best videogame soundtrack ever! I just never get tired of any of it! And that's saying something. Because with soundtracks from Sonic, Metroid, Kirby, Jet Set Radio, ect. you gotta put in a LOT of effort to make a soundtrack good enough to compete! And the makers of NiGHTS created this! I wouldn't just call it a gem. I would call it a chest full of treasure! But it's so ellusive to me. Like a pirate lost at sea looking for the treasure.

  • @TheSoldierSaints lol, yeah! Amen, brother! I heard Naka say he CRIED during one of the orchestral recordings. Now, I don't cry about it, but I still have no words that will really describe it, and it's sad that some people don't understand that type of art, mistaking it as "nerd music", or calling the above video "irish" (lol, talk to your brother please, sonicboom0). Maybe someday I'll be listening to it and I WILL cry. ;) But I get chills anyway, which is awesome, lol.

  • @bmsoundtrack Well, I would call the song above Irish sounding. But there's nothing wrong with that. Irish music is cool. And since I myself am part Irish from my mother's side, I am honored bo be Irish and have heard this song. And if anyone calls it "Nerd Music" just ask them, what's wrong with it being "Nerd Music"? It's still art, it's still beauty, and if they can't understand it, or appreciate it, then screw them. It's their loss. Art is art.

  • @TheSoldierSaints Cool, I'm Irish from my father's side! I actually heard an Irish rock band the other day, and it was awesome! All people should learn to always learn to keep their hearts open to anything and everything. Because everything is magnificent, including music! And that nerd thing is so true! I think the only really BAD music is sinful music (as in subject matter). Whenever I hear KISS (our local pop station, like katy perry and rhianna and stuff), I'm like "KID'S LISTEN TO THIS?!"

  • @bmsoundtrack Really? What would that Irish rockband be? I'm curious. And exactly! Just like what Crush 40's song Open Your Heart! "Open Your Heart and you will see/it's gonna be alright!" Ugh... Pop music now-a-days seems like just noise. I know what you mean there. Worst of all, (For obvious reasons, I do not want to speak their names) I don't get kids anymore either. I'm glad I'm 18 and I prefer this. It makes me feel more human. If that makes any sense to you.

  • @TheSoldierSaints Well, it's not a renowned band, just one of those "opening act" sort of bands that plays songs from popular artists. I can't quite remember the name though, sorry :(. And yeah, that makes sense. If you've ever heard a song called "Give Me Everything Tonight" (I think) you'd probably feel sick! A lot of people can be ignorant, but something inside me kind of feels bad for them, you know whatn I mean? It's sad that they will never be able to experience more complex forms of art.

  • @bmsoundtrack Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't think I've heard of that song before. I'm sure they could experience it, they just won't ever want to because they're caught in their own little web of mediocre popularity. So they just choose not to experience and appreciate complex art. The finer things in life are sometimes the least understood. It is kinda sad, you're right about that.

  • @TheSoldierSaints Exactly. (lol, this conversation's taken up a whole page!)

  • @bmsoundtrack Whoops... Oh man, you're right. Derp. Do you wish to continue?

  • @TheSoldierSaints Well, I haven't really had a good conversation with anyone in a while, even in real life. But if this is gonna get in people's ways, you could just add me as a friend and I might see you under another video?

  • @bmsoundtrack Okay! It was fun, but we don't want to overload this video with just one conversation. So okay. I'll add you and I'll talk to ya later!

  • @TheSoldierSaints Thanks. See ya!

  • @bmsoundtrack What the? Did you mention the Irish? Well done mon ami!

  • @kdreamland yes, yes i did. and thank you :)

  • I am so choke-up on the fact to see others who love this sound piece. It is the greatest tune i have ever heard and the most original game I have ever played...

  • I have not owned NiGHTS into dreams... but this is probably the best theme, alongside the boss battle with Clawz.

  • This definitely needs to be ported for xbox live arcade and ps3 release!!! With nothing altered!!!

  • @RenegadeFury No racial slurs, please ;D

  • wow. sweet memories of being ten and playing this game until the cd stopped working. such a gorgeous soundtrack.

  • If you blast this song through your stereo it really rocks. Really makes one feel like they're flying!

  • Even though this is not from Xmas Nights, I always like to listen to this song around Christmas to shake off the Holiday Blues. So far it's worked two years in a row.

    Thanks for uploading this.

  • @SyriusBelsferg You know, I do the same thing. 'Cept I've been doing it since '97. It's great to cleanse the pallet of all those repeated Christmas songs when you JUST DON'T WANT to hear them anymore.

  • Who made this game? Who made this soundtrack?

  • one of the most wonderful pieces of music I think I've ever heard :)

  • its a darn shame that NiGHTS didn't become as popluer as Mario or Zelda, or resident evil i think both games were very enjoyable but the second one had THE most cheesest voiceing and diaologe i have ever here it almost competes with PS! and sega dream cast daiologe.

  • Its one of those few songs that can cheer you up no matter how down you are

  • amazing song, amazing original game of saturn, great times

  • Memories...God nostalgia is bittersweet.

  • Hey there is another version to this song I only have gotten it twice on this level does anybody know how to get it? I know it's by making the little birds sad or night maren in few population. just cant find it or do it on my saturn.

  • Yes, go around killing maren and the weird offsrpings, hatch eggs and keep the 'good' animals happy and the music gets happier too.

  • @mrpilotman Hatch eggs, and kill nightmarens to make them happy. Kill the nightopians to make them sad.

  • @mrpilotman I don't exactly know how to get it in-game, but @ /watch?v=RCJMhMtr-AQ you can hear the full version, which includes all moods/"versions". Each mood has a name, and you can find those in the Christmas NID music "gift"!

  • Whenever I play this level on NiGHTS and my brother hears the music he says "AAAAAH! The Irish are invading!" xDD Don't ask. He's weird.

  • lol thats awesome! wierdness rules!

  • hahaha your bro is funny....i love this music but i see where ur bro is coming from XD

  • @SonicBoom0 lol that`s actually funny

  • It's not annoying at all; it's great. A classic in games music if you ask me.

  • I like it too. It's not annoying, it sounds good and it fits. I love it!
