Can someone tell me how to teach my kakariki female parrot how to talk. She is a year old.I vas trying to teach her i was repeating words and nothing. Please anyone tell me. :(
beautiful bird! I have a male eclectus as well. he came to us completely chewed, he grew his feathers back and chewed them again! He is now almost fully feathered and we are holding our breath!
@jeannieo Hi there, if you are still available- can you share any tips you have on helping a plucker/chewer. I rescued a male eclectus (after having a female one for some time)and although sometime goes by without him chewing he always resorts back to his old habits. Many thanks!
@dquee our Kiwi has chewed his feathers off again for about the fifth time, I think they're gone for good now, so I have no words of wisdom. Eclectus parrots are a different breed and should not be kept as pets, having said that I still have my Kiwi because he is here now and needs to be taken care of. I would never have another Eclectus as much as I love them, they usually have too many "issues." It's not fair to the bird
so cute!

@MyStefan1212 sorry to say but not all birds talk, some do but some don't maybe u just need to persist or she might just mimic sounds or whistle
