  • I'm sorry, but if anybody seriously needs to watch this video in order to know how to vacuum up a car carpet, then that's really sad.

  • good thing he was wearing gloves

  • Missed a bit!

  • I really can't believe that I watched this! I feel so dumb now.

  • my mom just spilled about a liter of shampoo in the passenger carpet (i told her there was a trunk).... anyways, i had to wet it like 15 times to make foam but it just doesnt stop... it is a little better but it still has a considerable amount of shampoo... plus its wet no that i had to use water to dissolve the concentrated liquid..... i am sooooo pissed off!! HELP!!!

  • FIVE STARS

  • he just spent more time sweeping then he would have vacuuming.. wtf is wrong with this guy???

  • ....... What's the point of this video? Vacuuming is common sense

  • this is a bit extensive, really all you need to do is get a shop-vac and run over the floorboard, no need to "brush it" that's just stupid really if you have a good vacuum then you wont need to "loosen" the dirt or debris.

  • @Xbox360Playas

I somewhat agree. First vacuum it, to take the bit stuff like pebbles - not like this video where he bruckes it all around. Then if you have tough spots (hair, small specs of dust etc.) the brush will actually help loosening it up. If you just continie vacuuming hard, you will lightly scruff the surface of the carpet and damage it. The brush method is much more gentle. I have a brush to put directly on the vacuum hose, and it works a treat!

  • what kinda vacuum is that?

  • unbelievable most waisted of mi time spent for watching this video

  • Ridiculous, how the hell have 65 people liked this video. Who on earth does not know how to vacuum a carpet. Right I'm off to go make a video on 'how to turn the vacuum on'.

  • gently brush,god help us

  • Dude, I take them out and clean'em with pressure washer!

  • This is part of an entire series. If you don't like it, don't watch. Why would you have clicked on a video titled Car Cleaning Tips : How to Clean Car Carpet if you alrady knew how or it was so easy? Cut the guy some slack, he did a nice job

  • i never thought is was so complicated :

  • That's using a vacuum cleaner on the carpets, not actually cleaning them...

  • I love cleaning my car!! I spend hours making it CLEAN as possible :P

  • love the start of the vid- "hello- today were going to"- its the same guy, same clothes, same car, same gloves and its all the SAME DAY- why not just say "in this video we are going to address the .... but i keep watching all of these at work and just busted out laughing

  • well, i took all the car carpet out of the car, i washed it twice with liquid soap and soft brush, rinsed with pressurized water and then sucked the water with carpet cleaning machine 3 to 4 times...i got two buckets full of dark water with mud

  • @boxerSubaru I have a 1992 Jaguar xj6 and I was SO stupid to put my interior carpet in the washing machine on the gentle cycle in warm water. I had a mess on my hands. The edges of the carpet were not bound and the carpet started to unravel. The only thing that I hate about my interior carpet is that it is a light beige and it gets filthy every time it rains. I have decent car mats, but they don't help but so much.

  • @2710Pocahontas i love that color match of your car carpet, mine is light grey...i am lucky it got brand new after 2 buckets of mud and i got rid of the bad smell. then I restored it back perfectly. that's the only way of cleaning your car carpet thoroughly, maybe it sounds hard to remove the carpet from the car, but it is worth.

  • @boxerSubaru I have removed the carpet from the car before, but for a Jaguar you have to nearly tear the car apart. EVERY piece of carpet is held on by screws and tabs that extend from the console to the seats. Whenever the weather subsides, I will probably do this so that the padding on the backside can dry. The backside of the carpet has a fire resistant padding that takes DAYS to dry out.

  • Reminds me of the carpet cleaning job I did at JiffyLube in Natick, MA....

  • I don't understand all the mean comments...

  • wow...i just lerned how to vacum my car in the most hard way....

  • That car's ugly, I wouldnt even clean it, Id just crash it lol.

  • @ingles96 lol

  • these video's and comments are frickin hilarious

  • plz get a bigger vac 6.5 hp

  • this video couldnt be serious :|

  • really rubbish vid and giving urself more work than u need to

  • i say you first vacuum all the carpet and then if there is still more debris you can brush it and then vacumm it less time you know the vaccum still gona pick up everything

  • omg u r genius lol

  • hey great video man.

    keep it up :)

  • So that's how you vacuum a carpet. The attachment on the end of the hose has to come in contact with the carpet.

  • you really cant do this for a living lol as you wouldnt make any money,

  • crap , waste of time brushing it cause you just vacuumed the whole area any way should have just done that first

  • Trust me, it's not a waste of time. Carpet's in car's are thick and getting the crap out of the carpet pile is a difficult job first time around with a vacuum. It's a whole pile of noise and no work done.

  • carpets in cars are not thick, in the more expensise ones they have quality carpets with close nit fibre which are easy to vacuum. in the less expesive cars they have carpets like the fluffy part of velcro and are a night mre to vacuum especially with dog hairs, trust ME, i do this for a living

  • @steviesuperstar I disagree, I'm not necessarily saying they're really dense like thick carpet pile, but the fibres are long and annoying and stuff gets rolled up into it. Brushing can break down stuff thats wrapped up in the long hairs or fibres.

  • Wow, dirty carpet. Probably for demonstrative purposes though.

  • why do people say i dont mean to sound racist and then follow up with a racist remark lol ignorance

  • Damn thats alot of debris. Thats a slobs debris

  • 0:27 to 1:17 was pure painful and 1:45 to

    2:47 was pure evil torture

  • lol. that what i was thinking. lol

  • I must say though , he actually does a good try to get people to think about cleaning and makes nice vids. respect for that.

When looking at general knowledge of carcleaning, most people are awefull , this guy does understand what to do to keep a clean car clean..for most people even that is too much to ask.

Thanks for these nice vids , making people understand what to do and especially why!

  • This vid is remarkable - treasure it -12000 people can't be wrong

  • Although you were able to reve the debris; As a Professional Carpet Cleaner I would recommend using an air power brush tool.

  • I never would have thought of vacuuming the dirt, I usually just yell and scream "DIRT, GO AWAY!" but this looks like it may be more effective.

  • No offense man, but I think even Cromagnon Man could've figured this out. I feel sorry for anybody who needs this video...

  • No offense to you but have you ever professionally detailed a car? Yes, any idiot can vacuum his own car but to do it for a living does require a lot of skill and training.

  • Detailed? Yes. Professionally? No. What does that prove, I wasn't calling the man's business into question. I was simply stating that THIS PARTICULAR VIDEO is pretty pointless. If he makes money doing it, more power to him. I think you just misunderstood man. Take care.

  • kungfujellybean is right...

I'm a proffessional carcleaner and also do special shows with amg's etc..

Forst and for all..brushing the carpet while still dirt on it..is a no-do! you brush the big pieces away and the smaller ones deeper in it.

first vacuum very well , then spray it in with interior-cleaner and start brushing with a good interior brush . The product has to 'foam' into the carpet while brushing. Then take out the spray-extraction cleaner to finish and let dry with open doors

  • hahaha

  • i think its more time consuming to waste time moving all the dirt to one side of the car when u could just vacuum it !

  • Yeah, you haven't ever tried vacuuming a car, have you? The little grains of sand and stones are very hard to vacuum up. You need a combination of brushing and vacuuming to get the carpet really clean and free of sand. Then it is ready for spot and stain removal and finally the hot water extractor.

  • Very informative good video man

  • oooo he cleans carpets like a badboy

  • Yes. Very bad.

  • Comment removed

  • nice gloves safety first lol

  • lets see your hands after cleaning cars for a living.

  • I hope they dont have a video teaching people how to breath.

  • why don't you just vacuum the carpet?

  • Why don't you actually try what you are suggesting. You will see that the small stones and grains of sand are very hard to vacuum up even with a powerful vac. You need to brush the carpet to get out all the deep embedded dirt.

  • try to change ur mind, we must respect each other.

  • Debris ? lol

  • Wow, I cant believe after all these years i've been doing it wrong!

  • So you're basically telling me to brush the dirt already on the carpet, across the carpet into a pile? All thats going to do is grind the dirt into the carpet even more. You're better off just vacuuming it up where it sits.

  • thats why he said do it gently, if you do it too hard thats how its going to go in more

  • good vid

  • this was virtually worthless for me

  • most of the time the real problem came with bubblegum on carpet or any liquid spill by children

  • Why the latex gloves, the car doesn't have aids.

  • even when i get a car im gonna be too busy cleaning it
