Your videos are awesome! I just made my first puppet last month and it would have been much easier if I could have found these videos first! I will definitely be watching more as I prepare to start on my other puppet characters!
It would be interesting to see a clip featuring your actual puppet building process in action; especially the specifics of how you apply the pingpong or other plastic rounded eyes to your cloth puppet. I have experimented with various glues and handsewing to attach eye (and other parts) to puppet and still haven't really found a method that produces great results. The plastic to fabric application has me stumped.
@concordbdance Sorry It took me so long to reply....I would say for what you are asking is cut small holes in the foam then the material make sure the material hole is slightly smaller than the foam hole. glue the material around the foam hole...glue you can use contact cement and apply it accordingly to both the eye and foam where the eye is going (don't use a lot of glue) then push from the inside out be very careful so you don't get any glue on eyeball push it till it looks right.
@1CTV1 so glad that you found them helpful I still need to organize them better this summer so they have logical sense of making professional puppets.....I have more to add for performing and other hints.
I'd like to leave a tip. Either for you or whoever is reading/watching this video. Did you notice how the ping pong ball had a logo? Most store bought ping pong balls do. Take sand paper to it and you can make the logo disappear.
