  • ok i just LOVE PINK FLOY

  • WOW! this song makes my head buzz

  • ピンク・フロイド"吹けよ風、呼べよ嵐"~オカズだらけドラムのメイソンさん!~この必殺曲は叩き放題だネ!~ロックンロールプログレクラッシック!

  • wow Mason is a fucking monster o.O

  • 実況録音始めてみました。VERY GOOG です。全日本プロレスのジャイアント馬場VSブッチャー戦を思い出します。

    なつかしい、これLPとは結構違いますね。でもよかったです。

  • It's like walking in an endless mars like gloomy desert in the middle of a sandstorm.

  • Great. Thanks Pink Floyd.

  • when and where was this recorded? great version!

  • @whsonic October of 1972 in Pompeii, Italy

  • @happothevampire

i think this was in paris studio.

  • One of these days, Im going to cut 5 people into little pieces

  • 5 unknown species!

  • I wish this song had no end.

  • Música de abertura do filme Isto é Pelé

Opening song of This is Pelé (brazilian movie)

  • I think Nick is probably the coolest drummer, not the best, but the coolest. He's got the groove! Love the fill at 4:15,looks easy, but its fecking hard.

  • check nick loses a drum skick allways thought that was amazing 4.33

  • one of the best versions live

  • now go watch the metallica version. lol

  • ok, thank U for the drum set footage ...and what about other musicians?

  • @kathodemama pretty rare for a drummer to get all the attention, plus he does kinda have the lead on this one,LOL ;) very cool song and amazing drumming!

  • @kathodemama

Mason clearly has the lead on this piece, and he makes it what it is.

  • If you wanna download this mp3 goto everymp3rip doht cohm.

  • Wow pretty great

  • Greatest band ever.

  • lol mason looks kinda like a hippie

  • @orisidone "Kinda"?! ;-)

  • looks very nice music, I am Sgt.walton.001

  • When he dropped his drum stick it would have been better if Nick Mason had picked up a ham salad baguette and played with that. That would be impressive.

  • around 3:20 is that double bass drumming?

  • @ak47dragunov yes

  • This is by far the best music dvd that anyone can purchase! I suggest everyone eating an 8th of mushrooms and watching the bonus feature concert footage from beginning to end. Be prepared to melt your face off :)

  • @phishrox1 So true! But believe me, you don't need an extra "thing" when you are listening Live at Pompeii. You can do it if you want, but it won't be necessary. They are great enough alone, them and their music.

  • great drumming and shirt

  • Another brilliant example of PF live is equally as orgasmic as PF in the studio

  • Anyone notice how Mason is afraid (?) to look at the camera? It's weird, he' seems to purposefully look away.

  • they are so cool..

  • かっこよか~

    ブッチャーのテーマ曲だすな~

  • BOMBASTIC

  • i love this performance but too much organ in this one. Couldnt hardly hear Gilmour over there

  • I love the critick's WANKERS

  • n so what?..o!!another one who's a "specialist" on drums.....so...use your 4 limbs n play.......on which band?

  • from 3:40 on out, he doesn't use the high hat. sorry; i can be an all-star using only three limbs. bonzo all the way.

  • @juryandexecutioner nick mason is so much more skilled

  • this is way bad ass

  • nick mason's finest

  • It's all about 4:14. 4:14 is the shit... Nick Mason owns 4:14...

  • @mundrubjet correction.... Mason owns 0:00 - 5:25

  • very nice

    very nice indeed

  • I think that Nick Mason is one of the best symphonic prog rock drummers ever !!!

I know there's a few, like Bill Brufford, Robert Wyatt, Carl Palmer, Keith Moon, even Phil Collins... but the energy, compenetration, syncronization, and personal support for his band in Nick, is awesome !!!

  • i think its more or less was a fill that he didn't think fitted the section at 1:36

  • This.........

    Is really cool shit.

  • the voices at 3min20sec anyone know what the original recordings are of? its my favorite part on side 1 of meddle besides all of fearless and of course seamus

  • It's Nick Mason's voice slowed down.

  • fabuleux !!!!

  • yeah i know what your saying robettatellaro but he covers it up by adding more beats

  • Nick does a mistake at 1:36 with the drums...you can tell there is one beat too much..and also look at his face, you can tell he knows he just fucked up..but nevertheless the best band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..ps am i the only one who thinks there is a mistake??

  • i can see what you mean, he recovers nicely in time though which is excellent

  • In fact, there are 3 mistakes on this vid. Weird fill at 1:36, he miss the tom at 1:56, and finally the dropped stick at 4:32. Not a lot of mistakes, but contrary to a lot of video, you can SEE all of them on this one.

(Nick's drumming is awesome, apart from that, of course)

  • This is PF sound I love.....

  • one of the best!!!!!! oll haters sush!!!!!

  • so many drummers lose sticks while playing live, and they are able to keep it cool with the drumming, its not that big of a deal

  • Pink Floyd are and always will be the best Instrumental rock band of all time.

I listen to a lot of Pink Floyd, i love them so much.

This is my favourite song by them. It's amazing.

  • 4:32 lose his stick,hahaha ! cool

  • perfection at its best!!

  • fanny tastical

  • fantastic

  • e 10 bl

  • splendifferous :)

  • How good was that wow.Lose a stick and no one who was just listening would have known.Magic group.

  • Not from this solarsystem.....Magnifiscent in a way only Pink Floyd can perform.

  • nick looks like my dadin the 70s

  • where are all cool people gone? this is apotheosis in progress ,what happened? !!

  • Haha

  • what a mean b-line - roger's soul shining through

  • LOL Nick drops a stick

  • Yeah !!! Very funny, but he also has great reflexes!! He just grab another one near to the bass drum! He´s very fast!!!

  • Not only that, he spins it in the air and catches it

  • good LSD in thoses days..

  • true musicians

  • AWESOME !!

  • This IS the Pompeii version. Isn't it?

  • The pompey version has other members, if posted here.

  • great save

  • It would be nice to see the other members in the band.

  • come on, nick mason never gets any face time....its nice to see him jam out

  • Imagine having the audacity to tell a member of Pink Floyd how to play his instruments hahahahah lolololol

  • thats wut i was thinkin,,,,,,no less it was 1971

  • live at Pompeii in that place is classic i wish i was there to see the making of the film ! :)

  • great !

    thx.

    * * * * *

  • Yeah well Rick use to have to tune Rogers bass for him since his tone deaf

  • You have no clue what you are talking about. There are two basses on the album version. One rusty bass with old strings, and one regular bass.

The bassline is literally one fucking note. I think he could have 'handled it.'

    fucktard.

  • Waters not being able to handle a 1-note bass run??? HAHAHAHAHA, man, you should be ashamed of saying something so retarded.

The bass on later versions are a bit modified thanks to Guy Pratt's contribution.

  • best drummer ever...

    pink floyd rules

    xD

  • Nick Mason ROCKS!

  • he and Jhoan Bhonam the best drummers ever

  • actually its nick mason who sings " one of these days I am going to rip you aprt"...in case you guys didnt know...PF with roger rules! without roger, PF became a weak concept!

  • Anyone noticed how Mason lost his stick at the end? Didn't seem to bother him in the least

  • I noticed it too... Not a problem for him ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @zepperen Shit, you could take both his sticks away and he'd probably be banging away with his forehead.

  • @zepperen cause he's beast like that.

  • Random off the top comments...it's really obvious in this that Nick Mason has no formal training whatsoever. Don't get in a tizzy Mason fans...that's just an observation...not a putdown. Second...any drummer who ever had to play outdoors without heavy micing and effects knows what a bummer that is. Anyway...love the song, Mason, and the band.

  • As i understood it Rick Wright had no formal traning as well. Your right it is not a negative thing, quite often it produces muscians who think diffrently, whihc is good.

  • @juzt156 Pete Townshend of The legendary Who had no training in any of his instruments either.

  • doctor who original theme! busted

  • the organ part that comes in at 3:28 is way better than the album version

  • I can still say that this is my favorite song. I say song but this is really an emotion.

  • 1:43 and 4:40 - drummer looks like "stop talking to me!".

  • They're highly technical rock band, what a musical genius and mind you that was started on the 70's woohooooooo!!!

  • Yet another song to send to my ex.

  • Haha thats what I was thinking. lol

  • HAHAHA

    Nice!

  • sounds so Cold and pulsating

  • Try it in a sick set of speakers.

  • the recovery is what separates the real from the recorded.

  • mason is just amazing...they all are..but he really gave that song such energy....nevermind the recovery at 4:32...awesome song, thanks for uploading

  • always like to see this clip...

  • wow

  • great song.....

  • art! great! fantastic! superb! the best!

  • freggin' AWESOME Classic!

  • 4:15 = awesome

  • loved the organ

  • buen viaje

  • excelente rola

  • that voice on 3:24 sounds just like Jabba the hut from Star Wars!

  • Believe it or not thats actually Nick Mason, the drummer.

  • how do u know that?? im not doubting u i just wanna know how u found that out. i never heard that and i was always curious

  • I was a huge Floyd fan in high school and read a number of books about the band. One book, "A Saucerful of Secrets", made mention of Nick's vocal's on this track I believe.

  • kinda like this better than the album version.

  • Me too. All of the songs get so much new levels on the pompeii versions. I'm not saying they're all better, but they're interresting and different in a really good way, which makes the dvd so good.

  • yeh they're not better, jus enhanced

  • brilliant song!!!!! one of the best!!!

  • the best band ever

  • 487,328 little pieces

  • Mason is god!!!!

  • Simply brilliant performance...........

  • Funtastic. These guys still rock my world.

  • nick's recovery from when he loses his drumstick was incredible!XD

  • yeh for sure... I just caught it outta the corner of my eye. Dank as hell

  • he's so tight

  • its POUND not cut...the first time i heard this was sitting in a car on a dark backroad with a head full of lebanese blonde and it scared the hell out of me

  • nonsense, he says "what is this, im going to cut you into little pieces"

it was aimed at jimmy young the radio dj who always talked very very slowly on his show and nick mason hated

  • if you say so, but in the pink floyd story shown on tv recently, mason talks about it, what he says and why.

so unless you know better than the band themselves who wrote and play the song, your wrong

try googling "one of these days lyrics", you might find EVERY site disagrees with you and agrees with the band

  • "One of these days im going to CUT you into little peices."

  • Yes

  • Hey-- you are a great year lol

  • dude who uploaded this-my mom said shes gonna kill u kuzz i made a three feet phone bill!

    thx for the upload,man!

  • Nick Mason <3

  • "bongo playing hippie" - funniest comment I've read all week.

  • Nick is a master in this track. They must freak when they see how they were 30 - 40 years ago. Ha i guess we all do...great upload keep them comming

  • the live versions of pink floyd KICK so much more ass than their songs on cd which are still great

  • i had them on vinyl...haha(charade you are) ahem,sorry..flashbacks y'know....

  • i have the dvd of all the pompeii stuff. awesome

  • many thnx to the uploader!!!

  • you guys should check out Buddy Rich, Mike Portnoy, and Thomas Lang

  • nick é mestre

  • I like Nick's wind machine :)

  • Live at Pompei !! uno dei migliori documentari !!

  • NICK FUCKING MASON!!!

  • WHERE'S THE CLIP OF MARS? valles marineres, pavonis mons, arsia mons .. that's the best part!!

  • see, this is the original, Roman version, not the "lets throw some space shit in there to get the kids interested"

  • thats only on the movie part of the dvd, this is the original concert footage.

  • what your wanting is the directors cut
