In Lincoln Park Michigan, Calder's Dairy still sells milk in bottles. You can get milk with creamlines. When i lived in Detroit, I use to drink bottled milk instead of the containers. Since I moved out East, I haven't seen any bottled milk.
@ChicagoJoe57 I heard bottled milk is much better tasting. Nice to know they still make some that way. Thanks for watching and commenting on this video!
I always make sure my milk is bagged...I don't like animal hair all over it...all of our cars have pet hair in them...lol...so thankfully have never dropped/spilled one...lol...I think my four cats drink more milk than I do anyway...lol...thanks for sharing Paul! Thumbs up and many stars! :)
I love this video, thanks! I have some old glass milk bottles a bit different from yours (I'm in Canada) or maybe beacuse mine are from a different year- anyway when I was little (late sixties) everyone would leave the money in the milk bottles for the milk man at the back door, leaving the door unlocked all night, no one ever worried about that and no one ever stole it? Ah the good old days huh ? :->
@jodisweetie Thanks so much for sharing your memory and for your kind words about this video. It is much appreciated! For some reason, milk in those glass containers seem to taste better. It must be the nostalgia! LOL
We used to get milk from Producers Dairy (Parma), I remember the milktruck driver was Ken, and we kids would ask for ice cream too! I used to sell milk from Euclid Race dairy that also had home delivery.
I recently bought a Lawson's glass jug from a junk store, I thought it was 1$, but I did not see all the zeroes, and found out I actually paid ten bucks for it! And it was empty too. Last week I got two Diet Coke 16oz deposit bottles with the pop still in them, are they flat - forty years old?
@umajunkcollector Thanks Don for the memories! Wow, that would be a trip to drink 40-year-old pop. Yep, I'm sure it is flat as people thought the world was until after Columbus! LOL
