the biggest question everyone should always jugde themself by is what is the motive of everything they do or say . because the bottom line is what does love mean to you? God is love not lust or emotions , love is faithful, always is glad about justice, and truth. love never harms but protects. the spiritual seed inside you grows throughout your life and manifests who you truly are. those who love much are forgiven much, just as those who show mercy will recieve mercy. love will feed you.
As a Christian Witch or ChristoPagan (we tend to use these terms pretty interchangeably) I appreciate the fact that you are addressing the issue. We tend to be seen as "fence sitters" people who can't choose one side or the other. For myself, I don't need to. I get vital things from both my Christian and Pagan sides of my faith. I do believe that the Divine is all one, and so it is fine for me to celebrate the different personnas or facets of the Divine. <3
The Fact is there is such a Things as Trinitarian Wicca, Because I am one... And Trinity belong to many faith that predate Chrsitianity.. But i Do work with the Christian Trinity of God the Father, Goddess the Holy Spirit, and the Son Jesus Christ ... I see the Trinity as Infinite and Beyond all understand by Humans minds, Jesus came to help us understand that Divine Love is the Way to True Spiritual Progression...
There is no such thing as Trinitarian Wicca. Trinity is exclusive to Christianity. Wicca has a false TRIAD or TRICHOTOMY of finite beings. Trinity is for the infinite God of Christianity. The "god's" of Wicca are finite and contingent beings.
You could repent. Moreover, you could ask God for eternal forgiveness through applying the death and resurrection of Jesus to your life of sin within the quietness of your bedroom tonight. As an unrepentant sinner myself, I made this decision around 15 years ago. This is the most important decision that you could ever make. - Romans 10:9-10
From me, Nancy Chandler Pittman, author of "Christian Wicca: the Trinitarian Tradition" - I want to say thank you so very much for making such a wonderful video and presentation on the basics of Trinitarian Wicca.
Christian "witchcraft" is the biggest load of bull ever you either worship the true living God and are Saved by Jesus Christ or your not keep your unholy ways to
@nikesk8er10 have you actually seen him? or are you guided by blind faith like a majority of the world. She will believe what she wants, and you believe what you want. Wicca in all forms are peaceful and do not judge, all the hatred, comes from Christians, who are actually supposed to love everyone and judge no one, yet all you all do is judge, hate and murder, good day Hater :).
@nikesk8er10 Lol thats pretty rich, a christian saying paganism is a load of bull. Ever read your bible, nonstampcollector and 3vid3nc3 (on youtube) have both read your your bible several times and debunked it. The only plausible god is a Deist god so either don't believe in god or become a Deist.
I love the video really like that you came out to talk about this and take the time to make it. I just wanted to clear up a small detail. Trinitarian witchcraft isn't actually of wiccan lineage its a different following in itself.
Paganism is synonymous to: None-Prophetical Religion/s, Christopaganism?! I can understand that religions symbiotically evolve to new ones. But I can't understand that the most intolerant religion that had ever evolved has now, openly, literally and fully embraced those that the religion's clerics of old had hunt for so many centuries and destroyed all religions that could be a threat to it's existence or just stand in their way... very, extremely and fundamentally: DISTURBING.
Kudos to you for making this video and for reminding Wiccans that while we call ourselves tolerant, we are not always that way. I appreciate you having the guts to say so. I believe that many aspects of Christianity and/or Judaism align very closely with many aspects of Wicca and in my view, they even support each other's tenets in certain instances. I know that my Christian background enriches my Wiccan experience, and my Wiccan experience illuminates many of the Christian ideas of my past.
its absurd for christians to pretend that magic isnt consistent with their religion. Jesus was mainly a sorcerer, and compared himself to solomon or queen of sheba in that respect. Yeah, there is a verse in the OT comanded not to allow a sorcerer to live...and this obviously implies that sorcerers are possible (in fact such sorcerers were all over the OT)...but they actually were often allowed to live and as long as they invoked the correct deity, they were considered prophets.
"Christian paganism"???? Are you crazy?! It was christianity that tried to kill off paganism! Are you making this stuff up or something, because it's like you've just invented to crap to fit into the bible - like god + spells = more fun. It's really playing with religion isn't it? Typical american stuff.
There's no such thing as "Christain-Wiccan". Christianity and Wiccan are not compatable. The majority of people who do this sort of thing think that Wicca is a religion where they can do whatever they want to do and call it Wicca. Well, you can't. You can do what you want, but don't slap a Wiccan label on it it because it's definitley not Wiccan.
@CattailLeaf: One simple thing to put before you: God has no need of gender or sex. God is"I AM", as stated several times in the Hebrew scriptures. God is the Creator who made All Things, animate and inanimate. The Creator made the stuff the Big Bang came from, and is sustaining that Creation to this day, and is in fact accelerating the expansion of the Universe, for God's own purpose.Although we are eternal beings,God (no gender needed) is supernatural; God's ways are not our ways.Mystery? No.
Wiccan or Christian or Jew or Hindu or Muslim or Buddhist...IT'S ALL THE SAME GOD..."The Lord is our God, the Lord is One, the Lord Alone." (the Jewish "Shema Israel....."). It's not so hard to comprehend... One doesn't give up her identity in confessing the Lord (the Trinity), she gains her eternal identity instead, an eternal life with God. What could be better? What does she have to lose?
I'm an electic wiccan that veiws all dieties as just other faces of the god or goddess. I came from a strong christian family and never had any bitter feelings towards christianity or the dieties. I still work with them from time to time. It's comforting, like using what i call my family dieties. Though they are not my personal patron or matron deities I don't see a reason why people shouldn't use them. So I'm all for people being Christian wiccan if thats right for them. Go with your faith :)
I was trained by a mystical rabbi-The Shakhina is yes Holy Spirit- but in feminine-and in ancient days was worshipped as a Mother Goddess- the feminine side of Creator-who comes in the aspects of a Father, a Mother and a Son..but it is all spiritual energy- really big for us to completely understand- I love thinking of Creator having that Mothering side!
My husband is Rosicrucian-their magick is quite potent-Christian Mystical Magick- their view as I understand it- is that Jesus was trained in Egypt as a mystic and learned mastery over the dead-it has NOTHING to do with the religion that grew up in Jesus name- but the Mystic /Healer Jeshua - and works with The Father,The Son and the Mother Energy which is a Goddess- Shakhina or Sophia -Love n Light
@Sandlesart Shekinah is the Holy Spirit.....which is not a "Mother Energy, or a separate Goddess. God is both Father and Mother, obviously, as He is genderless ("He" because God rules the multiverse, and ruling is generally a masculine attribute). If you consider a Goddess at all, I believe you have to consider the entirety of God as Goddess, not a part. But since God is genderless, it becomes frivolous to even assign gender qualities.
it doesnt matter how much you try and justify your own blend of religion or paganism is... christianity or the gospel of jesus cant be mixed with anything else you cant have a foot in both camps... you cant dabel.. you either are or you arnt... christianity cant mix...
people try and water down, add their own beliefs but in reality there is only one path and all else is simply man made - they dont lead to salvation
I call myself a christowiccan... i am VERY discrimated against. Someone told me that being a christwiccan was like being a jewish nazi... it hurts, and this video makes me feel a TON better. thank you so very much
I like this video, Cattailleaf; thank you for making it. You clearly did some research before putting this presentation together, and offered an accepting explanation of a tradition that most people find difficult to understand (sometimes even those who participate in it!). Thanks again.
There is no such thing as Christian Wicca or Christian paganism. Read WITCHCRAFT: EXPLORING THE WORLD OF WICCA, by Craig Hawkins. And there is NO Trinity in Wicca or Paganism. Trinity is unique to Christianity. The wiccans and pagans might have triads or trichotomys, but not Trinity.
@Pilgrim1411 As a Christian who grew up in the pagan tradition and converted- you are very much mistaken. The Celts had nothing but trinitarian values. The three magi or wise men were certainly a bunch of heathens by your own standards. The story of the Christ child is something that breaks all barriers of culture and socio-political strife-world wide. South American Christians have named a cactus after Saint Peter- holder of the keys to heaven's gate. The cactus of revelations.
@JustLookin0811, Read that book by Hawkins. Trinity, by the way, is unique to Christianity. The pagans had tritheism or trichotomy's, but not Trinity.
@alfredobklyn thank u so much for subbing! :-) im not a christo pagan myself but i love saint magic :p ....particularly saint Anthony since i lose things a lot lol
you are not like a robot at all ! other videos come off as defensive you give facts no judgment ! I believe we are all entitled to the gift of belief . belief can change I thought pagans would be more open with all the christian witch bashing it sure makes it hard to come out of one's witch's hut ! some forget that people have been blending religions forever God said I AM gender is a human trait given to god & godess because we are created in the image of I AM , how cool !
God never said I create you in my image female's image.Or I create you in My image, male's image. Just I create you in my image- Genisis the bible, So God embodies male and female in one somehow still unknown to us. This is further hinted at juring the creation or Adam, God created Adam, then made Eve from a rib in Adam, wow, Eve was in Adam before Adam even knew it. And in all they were both, then, fundamentally created at the same time in one. Even if not literal it points to God M&F in one
Thanks for the clarity. It's always confused me what anyone might mean by the terms. In my own view all legitimate mysticism of a process consciousness meditation kind originated with the old nature religions, so co-opting Qabala and eastern philosophy, etc., is just bringing it all back home.
I consider myself a Christian Witch who worships, God the Father, Goddess the Mother, Jesus the Son as well as Mary Magdalene his wife and consort along with Mary, his Mother and the Daughter Holy Spirit.
I used to think there was no way the two could blend, but I know quite a few people now who do have Christian and Wiccan beliefs, or Christian and spiritualist, witchcraft, etc. They are out there, and it does work for them, so hey! Just another path to walk. Very nice video, I actually found this through Father Allen's video response. Blessings~
@cutewitch772 thanx so much for commenting & watching! :-) i used so think wicca & christian blending was total rubbish once but meeting a very nice christian wiccan changed my views on it :-)
There can be no such thing. The Bible is the foundation of Christianity and the Bible clearly speaks against magick: Exodus 22:18; Deuteronomy 18:9-14; 2 Chronicles 33:6; 1 Samuel 23; Isaiah 2:6; Galatians 5:19-21; Acts 19:19. I find it funny you demand we respect this “faith” when this “faith” refuses to acknowledge it is utter disrespect to the Christian faith from which it borrows.
@nicodemous52 hmm I find what u've said very interesting but might i ask if voodoo & santeria disrespect christianity as well? because both are african based faiths that include magic & Christianity.
@CattailLeaf I thought "voodoo" was a whole religion unto itself and that "Santeria" was more or less a blending of superstitions and voodoo that was mixed with Catholicism as a way to disguise their faith rather than an incorporation of it. So, yes if I am right and yes if I am wrong about what exactly they are. I do understand the Wiccan way of thought because it isn’t so far from Hindu reasoning. (CON...)
(Con...)However, I think most Christians would agree that our GOD is not simply some accessory. I know many faiths would not feel the same, but I think the 3 Abrhamic faith would all agree.
Wicca were male magicians of the Old English pagans, witchcraft simply meant evil magic, and the Wica are a pagan cult created in the early 20th century by Gerald Gardner. I do not believe Christians can be Wiccans since Wiccans is just the modern term for those who belong to a specific pagan cult. Christians practised magic to fight off the evil magic of witches during the middle ages and onward. I think Christians interested in the occult should study cunning folk and Christian folk magic.
@CattailLeaf No problem. I suggest you read ''Defences Against the Witches' Craft'' by John Canard if you'd like to learn techniques from traditional English folk magic that were practised by the Christian folk magicians known as cunning folk, pellars, or wizards.
I disagree only slightly. It seems you are only pulling from Trinitarian Wicca... Many christo-pagans are also practicing Christians, and do follow traditional christian beliefs, and consider themselves Christian, but also equally Wiccan. Trinitarian Wicca is a movement that has attempted to represent itself for all Christo-pagans, but it by no means does. Your presentation, however, is much appreciated, and thank you for raising awareness! :)
Nice job bringing all of these ideas together & speaking up for non-judgment. Anyone who feels the need to bash or to try to control other people for their religious belief is operating out of fear & outing themselves as being insecure in their own faith. If it's really so important that they spread the word, the best way to do that is to lead by example & share when asked. Otherwise, live & let live!
I like what you are saying to a point, but you are labeling people. If I have a statue of the Virgin Mary on my altar, does that make me a christian pagan? I don't see her as divine, I see her as a beautiful symbol of the feminine, among many beautiful symbols out there. I grew up in her presence, and find her comforting.
pagans disparging those with a christian flair sound very much like the closeminded uptight and unyielding religions that they THINK they have distanced themselves from.
@Bhav341 I have a bast statue am i kemetic? lol nope
buddy u can b whatever u wanna be :p christo-paganism has way more definitions then my own since it is a very different thing to everyone. I made this vid to open peoples minds & explain that these faiths actually do work for ppl even tho some say its imposible.
Hello, thank you for your video it was very informative. Although I have never openly discriminated against the traditions you mentioned I have also never thought two such vastly different paths could blend. Now I can see how they do and I appreciate you taking the time to open up eyes and help spread some tolerance and understanding in our community! Blessed Be ~Alura~
Another awesome and well put together video :) learned a lot from this one, and hoping you don't get into trouble for doing this because you are trying to explain something that so many of us would find dificult to do. Can't wait for your next video
@KierranD93 awe thank u so much :-) I'll b sure to make a video soon! meanwhile the negative comments r only just starting to come in but its positive comments like this that matter!
@paganpath1 lol thank u so much. felt awkward at parts for me lol just cuz im scared on the response on this video but i've been pleasantly surprised :-)
Brilliant video! I've been wanting to do a video on this too. I went to church recently and it has really opened my mind to our faiths similarities. I have no problem with people who want to follow these paths. Your final point that all Gods are one God... I always thought that if Christians believe there is one God then surely if we are worshipping A God then it would be theirs too? :)
@Pagyptsian i think that the videos u made talking about ur experiences at that church were very eye opening for the community :-) thank u so much for watching & i'm actually getting a bit of poo for that last note. :P too "wiccan" apparently. whatever cuz im getting a lot more good than bad comments!
@CattailLeaf Awh thank you! I get grief too, but the good comments are worth it. The last bit you added on is exactly what I believe, that all Gods are one in some way, so Yahweh is still Our God :) x
I identify as a highly eclectic Pagan, but I'm more accurately a ChristoPagan. I take a modern Gnostic path. "Jesus"/Yeshua, "Miryam"/Mary, etc. are just more gods to me... hah. It's weird how people only think a highly fundamentalist interpretation of Christianity is valid.
Also, Eastern Orthodox isn't Gnostic and rejects Gnostic texts, just like the Western/Roman Church and Eastern Catholics.
@illiezeulette Very true..They may not be canon Gnostic texts, but worth reading.fundamentalist interpretation of Christianity is not valid.in my mind standing within Apostolic Tradition
yeees my guess was also correct XP but FANTASTIC video!!!! you explain it soooo well, seriously. most people misunderstand these paths, as you said. i'm very happy you made a video on the subject. def not an easy thing!
I knew it...i was right!! :) Whoohoo! So now, that makes 2 of us. :) Very well explained! If this is the path for you and if it works, then all the power to you! As i was telling you, it works for me. I decided though, i'm going to set up another altar...more Christian like...this way i keep my Pagan altar and Christian altar separate...i know it doesn't have to be that way but i feel having 2 separate altars is right for me...at least for now anyway. :) ~Blessings to you~ xx *HUGS*

@GodTowardSociety awe thanx buddy! :D hope ur doing well!

I find it funny you demand we respect this “faith” when this “faith” refuses to acknowledge it is utter disrespect to the Christian faith from which it borrows.
nicodemous52 8 months ago
@nicodemous52 hmm I find what u've said very interesting but might i ask if voodoo & santeria disrespect christianity as well? because both are african based faiths that include magic & Christianity.
interested for ur opinion :-)
CattailLeaf 8 months ago
@CattailLeaf I thought "voodoo" was a whole religion unto itself and that "Santeria" was more or less a blending of superstitions and voodoo that was mixed with Catholicism as a way to disguise their faith rather than an incorporation of it. So, yes if I am right and yes if I am wrong about what exactly they are. I do understand the Wiccan way of thought because it isn’t so far from Hindu reasoning. (CON...)
nicodemous52 8 months ago

PaganWarrior100 8 months ago
@PaganWarrior100 hmm thanx for the comment. very cool stuff that i"ve never before
CattailLeaf 8 months ago
@CattailLeaf No problem. I suggest you read ''Defences Against the Witches' Craft'' by John Canard if you'd like to learn techniques from traditional English folk magic that were practised by the Christian folk magicians known as cunning folk, pellars, or wizards.
PaganWarrior100 8 months ago

Bhav341 9 months ago
@Bhav341 I have a bast statue am i kemetic? lol nope
buddy u can b whatever u wanna be :p christo-paganism has way more definitions then my own since it is a very different thing to everyone. I made this vid to open peoples minds & explain that these faiths actually do work for ppl even tho some say its imposible.
thank u for the comment
CattailLeaf 8 months ago
Hello, thank you for your video it was very informative. Although I have never openly discriminated against the traditions you mentioned I have also never thought two such vastly different paths could blend. Now I can see how they do and I appreciate you taking the time to open up eyes and help spread some tolerance and understanding in our community! Blessed Be ~Alura~

Pagyptsian 10 months ago 2
@Pagyptsian i think that the videos u made talking about ur experiences at that church were very eye opening for the community :-) thank u so much for watching & i'm actually getting a bit of poo for that last note. :P too "wiccan" apparently. whatever cuz im getting a lot more good than bad comments!
CattailLeaf 8 months ago
@CattailLeaf Awh thank you! I get grief too, but the good comments are worth it. The last bit you added on is exactly what I believe, that all Gods are one in some way, so Yahweh is still Our God :) x
Pagyptsian 8 months ago
I identify as a highly eclectic Pagan, but I'm more accurately a ChristoPagan. I take a modern Gnostic path. "Jesus"/Yeshua, "Miryam"/Mary, etc. are just more gods to me... hah. It's weird how people only think a highly fundamentalist interpretation of Christianity is valid.
Also, Eastern Orthodox isn't Gnostic and rejects Gnostic texts, just like the Western/Roman Church and Eastern Catholics.
illiezeulette 10 months ago
@illiezeulette Very true..They may not be canon Gnostic texts, but worth reading.fundamentalist interpretation of Christianity is not valid.in my mind standing within Apostolic Tradition

@illiezeulette hmm this is really cool stuff. u should make more videos on this! :D

yeees my guess was also correct XP but FANTASTIC video!!!! you explain it soooo well, seriously. most people misunderstand these paths, as you said. i'm very happy you made a video on the subject. def not an easy thing!
