  • Dis is really gud... Thxs :D

  • thank you these videos really helped me review for my CPR skill test!

  • they seem so calm, but i would be a wreck.

  • @Kefie Good point. I could have been more clear. Here is a good article that explains it.

See Phys org news 2010 cpr cab It won't let me post the web address. It is the first article that pops up. ;)

  • As of 2010, it is 30 compression to 2 breaths.

Also, the ABC procedure will be changing to CAB Compressons, Airway, and Breathing soon. The numbers will probably be the same, but they will be changing the order. They found that the compressions are more helpful than the breaths. So, next time you take a class it may be different. I am taking a CPR/First Aid class right now, so be advised that some sites are still out of date.

  • @Melissabunny1 Why would you do compressions before assessing their airway and breathing?

  • How scary to even imagine your child ever needing this...

  • super hot is the chick

  • its 15 compressions to 2 breaths guys!!! see latest guidelines

  • @annio

just in case, the 2005 AHA guidelines (the latest) state that 15:2 ONLY WHEN THERE ARE TWO CAREGIVERS.IN INFANTS.. every other scenario is 30:2 (including one caregiver alone and "baby")

  • i think the first thing u should teach is panic control because most of the mothers in these cases get paniced and they loose precious time !

  • donnanj47, she mentions it in the CPR video. But she could have mentioned it again in this one, it is true.

  • Sometimes You Need to think outside the Box

  • if the baby has been choking you dont have to check the pulse just go straight into cpr. if you are performing cpr on a baby that hasnt been choking check the pulse before the compressions and breaths. you are only supposed to do 15 compressions not 30

  • you don't do CPR when there is a pulse... of course, you're gonna check the pulse first...

  • @DonLouiVer If you wait for there to be no pulse, that could be too late! What you need to check for is that the person is breathing. If you enter a room and a person is lying there unconscious, first you try to wake them up, get a response out of them. If none, then listen for breathing for 10 secs while watching to see if the chest rises. If none, give 2 rescue breaths. If the breaths do not go in and/or there are no signs of life, do 30 chest compressions & repeat this cycle until help comes.

  • kclove, if the airway is blocked, the chest will not rise.

  • Thank you for the Information

  • Question 1. before doing the cpr are we suppose to check pulse first?

  • no see if the baby is breathing...just like doing cpr on an adult you know what i mean?

  • okay as a lifeguard, your suppose to check level of consciousness first, then abc's and if theyre not breathing then yes start cpr. if you dont know what the abc's are i suggest you google it

  • Wow!!! That wuz a great video. Thanx 4 sharing it with us. ;)
