no he rebuilt the motor so hes got to break it in and rich is the way to go in breakin it in and u go leaner once it broken in alittle at a time and it a 2 stoke anyways
20:1 is way too much oil. I know the manual calls for 20:1 but that was 25 years ago when premix oil wasnt as good as it is now. Your engine will last a LONG time if you treat it right and maintain it with oil changes etc. You will get a couple seasons out of a top end as long as you dont bag on it.
@BigManlyMan4 nah xr's are slow, ive been doing some work on it lately, dont mind the other videos, i ended up buying rod kit, and brand new piston and rings.
@flipskatter678 Breaking in a motor shouldnt consist of running it rich.... too much oil will gum up the powervalve. If you run a good castor oil at 32:1 and break it in with the normal procedure its fine. I run for 15 minutes then let cool, do that 3 times. then I ride for and hour with half throttle max then let cool. Then ride it under normal conditions and do a compression test. Do a test after each ride until it starts to taper off and rebuild/
@Lonnie91a yeh it is, its off a street bike, so its a little longer, if i tuck it behind the pipe it bends the cable to much and makes it hard to pull in, so i just leave out, i dont mind it at all.

@bikercc Why are you running it so rich?
BigManlyMan4 4 months ago
@BigManlyMan4 it will make the motor last a lot longer

@bikercc Then why not get an xr or something? haha. It must feel just as sluggish. Id run 32:1 and run her. She last for awhile if you dont beat it.
