This is not the Virgin Prunes. This is Dave Ball with Gavin Friday of the Virgin Prunes on vocals. Genesis P-Orridge sings on two other tracks on this album, but NOT on this one. Any further questions?

Dave Ball has no musical talent at all (his keyboard playing is very primitive etc. ) but like his vocal. Very suitable for Soft Cell, maybe he should sing there too.
Genius is always Simplicity! A genius can produce something brilliant but it will always appear simple and easy to the rest of us. Primitive to you but original and thought-provoking to the masses!
I actually saw The grid live in 1995 and they were great! Dave Ball has a brother-i think-who looks really like him, because this person was assisting them with their equipment.
This has just been re-released on CD for the first time (Some Bizzare Records). Some great sounds on that label. Neubauten, Soft Cell, The The, Psychic TV, Kontour, Dark Poets, Pedro INF etc. etc.
@LaminaDieWills Oh, I'll dance to anything me! Danced to everything you mentioned, and my black friends danced to all the electronic stuff too. We were an eclectic bunch. The British love of music knows no bounds or colour :)
This song and the one that follow it on the album are among the sexiest songs i have ever heard.

as an "amateur" musician i can only agree...
Viewectronics 2 years ago
He hasn't done bad for an amateur? He created a unique sound for Soft Cell and The Grid! This piece gets better each time you hear it!
copperpotbaby 2 years ago 2
ah, no ...
i just meant ME as an amateur musician (currently, i hope) just agreeing with the "simplicity" theory :-)
Viewectronics 2 years ago
You mention simplicity as if it means easy to do! My point is that great things always seem uncomplicated but they are always effective!
