Thats because it snow, its the wheel with the least amout of traction, unlike it is on pavement. What you want is lots of locking. That gives you more stability and traction. Well, I own an STI. We all know the difference between both: AYC vs Symmetrical AWD. AYC is an active system vs a a more passive (only mechanical) system. It's true, it's easier to drive with an active system like AYC (on any type of surface), but it does not mean that the result makes a faster car. You have to work more with the STI. For me, the STI is bit more pure (less electronic) and the EVO more enjoyable. With some mods you can really get two really good sport cars. Cheers.

Well of course STi is going to be tighter, Subaru's cars are BUILT for those conditions. I have a 97' impreza and even though it's old and has 170K on it, it's super safe in the snow and the AWD system is keeps me VERY protected from slipping.
Of course if drifting is your thing, the evo looks like the better choice.

evos r sweet in snow, gravel and tar, they have the sweetest control around corners unlike sti's they cant cominsate that, they seem to have alot of understeer in the corners n add time instead of minimizeing time like the evo, evo still holds the fastest track lap. lol.

Well, I own an STI. We all know the difference between both: AYC vs Symmetrical AWD. AYC is an active system vs a a more passive (only mechanical) system. It's true, it's easier to drive with an active system like AYC (on any type of surface), but it does not mean that the result makes a faster car. You have to work more with the STI. For me, the STI is bit more pure (less electronic) and the EVO more enjoyable. With some mods you can really get two really good sport cars. Cheers.

lol the service light was on and as much as i wish the evo was broke (because i have a sti) i think its because the car wasn't running if you had ether one of the cars you would know that light comes on until you actually start the car, and this guy is retarted granted i dont kile the evo but im pretty sure mitsubishi knows what there doin set it to the right seeting damn chach

1st of all if u guys werent so old u would actually be able to "try" the cars.. second of ass im pretty sure this video makes no senc where you say u wanted handleing but then said you wanted it to drift nicer. and third of all u are acting like these are evry day conditions that people drive in every day of their lives... summer tires on a caru usually means that u dont drive it everyday in snow.! dumb video waste of lifetime

@dimix333 you are an idiot. your "argument" would not make sense even if you could read it. the cars come with summer tires, how are they going to do if you live where it snows 4 months a year? you will need snow tires. seocnd, old drivers are better than you for many reasons, 1 they have driven just about every car out there and 2 they have more experiance. nobody bitches about the octogenarians hosting top gear. third, learn to spell on at least a 3rd grade level... its horrible

both cars are great, saying one is better than the other is an argument I never want to get involved in because it is pointless, both have close to 300hp, both weigh close to the same, both are AWD, both have similar suspension setups, what is the point of arguing, you can almost blindfold a person, get him into each car and he would have a hard time telling the difference, until he crashes into a tree from not being able to see...

Well of course STi is going to be tighter, Subaru's cars are BUILT for those conditions. I have a 97' impreza and even though it's old and has 170K on it, it's super safe in the snow and the AWD system is keeps me VERY protected from slipping.
Of course if drifting is your thing, the evo looks like the better choice.

well i know that subaru has a patent on their all wheel drive system so that makes it impossible for mitubishi to be the same all wheel drive system. I find it funny how the mitubishi works better on snow with the gravel setting, and the guy said he like the mitubishi better because it flings around which means less control. i don't know why he likes less control.
