  • So cool! That's the most relaxing sound ever. Would have been perfect without the music in the background. That's just my prefrence. I perfer only sounds of the paper, no music or talking.

  • I used to fall asleep in school when the teacher would tell the class to "turn to page 565". Imaging, an entire classroom turning pages at the same time. Knocked me right out and no one knew what the problem was!!! Now I embrace it and don't have to take medicine to fall asleep, just listen to sounds like this. THANK YOU!

  • I have finally found other people who get a jolly out of weird noises!!

I like paper... keyboard.. and even the crunching of cereal!

    It feels soo good :DD

  • omg! why does it feel good?

  • This is the best sound ever. But I like when thick piles of newspaper are folded lol

  • It's possible that we like these sounds because they are sounds of other persons doing very mundane actions, actions which would only be done in a safe secure setting. This makes us feel that there are others around who feel safe and relaxed, so we can, too. Just a thought. Either way, I use these as background sounds, behind online Chill music radio, to be productive in the office.

  • I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE! I AM NOT ALONE!!! : D

I have listened to track 4 "Renee" of Coffee & Cigarettes until my eyes nearly melted out of my head. She's turning the pages of magazines (oddly populated with guns & hunting tips) and stirring coffee in a ceramic mug. Heaven.

  • I felt ridiculous when I seached "turning over pages" here on Youtube - turns out I'm not the only one who loves that sound! I'm surprised!! ..and now.. relaxed..

  • OMG something is crawling up my spine! IT'S IN MY HEAD and it feels so good..

  • @OblivionZealot i get that feeling 2!! it feels good for sum unknown reason! im not alone yessss!!!

  • @katperson88 I think you may've got ASMR. Google it :D

  • @katperson88 me too!! it sends a chill throgh your head :DD

  • You're sympathetic to lonely people, take criticism without getting angry, like cats, and don't think people are weird for being different. Sight unseen, if you ran for president next time around, I'd vote for you...seriously. You'd have to be miles ahead of all the usual suspects.

  • @Moshpith Thanks!

  • Lol, my top of my head tingles to and my eyes heavier! Omg you read my mind

  • idk why this just relaxes me. the top of my head tingles and my eyes get heavy. such a nice peaceful feeling

  • Too loud

  • Btw what is that song playing in the background during and around 2:15?

  • I'm so happy right now

  • Does anybody know if you can play youtube videos on a loop? Always wanted to know that, and if I could just do it with this video all my sleep troubles would be over.

  • @cbu183 Yeah you can just type the word "repeat" into a YouTube URL before the ".com"

  • i have the same fealing like this with origami.

  • I thought there couldn't possibly be others who found this sound relaxing. I'm glad I was wrong!

  • Wow, all these audio clips. There's a particular sound I've looked for and can't find, which I always loved when I was in college. When I used to study in the library, sometimes there's be somebody at the same table that might have mild allergies, and have these fairly frequent mild throat clearing sounds they make. They were just mild throat clearings, lasting a split second each usually, and weren't very loud at all. They were dry sounds (not wet sounding).

  • I find this hard to masturbate to.

  • I cant believe i found this kind of video eventually..I love this kind of sounds..It soothes me..Ahhhh zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • peaceful :3

  • Great thing. You need this for any kind of dub or radioplay, but u never find it.

  • ohhhh gggoodddddd this is so gggoooodd

  • Can you tell me the name of the song that is playing in the background please.

  • It's quite weird, now that I think about it, the sounds that I so thoroughly enjoy are the sounds that people TYPICALLY get quite annoyed, papers crumpling, typing sounds, pencils writing, people erasing.

  • Certain sounds are very pleasurable to me like the turning of pages for instance. One time I heard someone flipping through music cds at the library and I loved it. Some people's voices bring me pleasure like Pastor Harold Camping on Family Radio and the late Boss Ross. Sometimes hearing people chew potato chips or something crunchy gives me pleasure as well. I'm weird I know. :)

  • omg i can't believe i've found other people that experience the same as me when it comes to turning pages...i thought i was strange or something

it's wierd because i produce music ( drum n bass ) which is really loud

but every night i watch this video i found on youtube of a guy flicking through a book

it sends me into a complete trance ..i've had this as long as i can remember

could you do a video of naturally flicking through the paper with the pauses inbetween :)

  • I think this sound is comforting to me because it brings me back to my childhood. You know, I would wake up on the weekends and walk downstairs and my parents would be reading the newspaper, I don't know it just made me feel happy, at ease, safe somehow.

  • I remember finding sounds like these relaxing since I was very small. It's odd, though - there is also a sense of guilt that goes with it. Almost shame. Even today I feel that. Like it's some sick secret. It's not that I think there is anything wrong with it. It goes deeper than that. I could never figure it out. Anyway, thanks for the vid. I love your channel.

  • @Yapshire No shame to be had. We all have our comfort foods and comfort sounds. These types of sounds release some sort of intoxicating chemical in me...who know why.

  • @Leviticus45 wow i have been listening to your for quite some time, but i just got a new pair of headphones and now your audio's are amazing!

  • @Leviticus45 Indeed! and there are alot of "us" out here. We aren't weird or unique. We just enjoy certain sounds and they make us relax! Keep up the good work!

  • @Leviticus45 Dopamine :)

  • @Leviticus45 yep, me too. I have it also when i see someone working on a keyboard.

But seeing the pages getting turndis even more intoxicating.

  • @Yapshire LOL, I have the same weird feeling and my soundscape includes listening to people eat cereal (specifically Grape Nuts) .

  • @Yapshire No reason to be ashamed, before I found these vids I thought I was the only one who thought that these kinds of sounds were wery relaxing.

  • @Psilocybex I get that now. But still struggle with guilt-feelings about it. I think it stems from my inability to believe I deserve any type of comfort. I'm working on it, though.

  • @Yapshire Lol ohhh how i feel the same. You put my thoughts into words that i could never do >.<.

  • @Yapshire thats the same for me

  • @Yapshire thats the same for me

  • @Yapshire I say us with this weird sensation should get together one day and listen to a 30 minute paper folding!!! :D

  • @JordanRoberts24 True dat! I also always wanted to make a collection of all the great scenes from movies that have these sounds. Watching the motions as well as the sound affects me too. Wow. That sounded kind of dirty. Sorry.

  • @Yapshire i know exactly what you mean!!

  • Great videos! Are you majoring in "relaxing sounds" ? ^^

  • @Spackliwackli Close, my major is "Insomnia". There are certain sounds that help me sleep, I hope to find certain sounds that help others sleep or relax. You wouldn't believe the interesting sounds people request to help them sleep.

  • @Leviticus45 oh I believe that! For instance, for some reason I find it relaxing to watch someone cooking something in a pan, you know, the sound of deepfrying chicken or putting garlic into hot oil. Sounds crazy, but it's sooooo relaxing ^^

  • @Leviticus45

Well, lately you've been some help...I fear I'm developing insomnia since if I don't listen to something or take Melatonin, then it takes me almost all night to get to sleep and I wake up early anyway.

  • @Leviticus45 what relaxes me is the sound of a plastic bag. try that.

  • @TheFreeflowin me 2

  • OMG, I love you! I actually SLEPT last night. Imagine that, SLEEP!

  • @Sabrefan1980 That's great! Congratulations.

  • lush and soothing - i used to love listening to the neighbour wash her car, she used a bucket to wet it and rinse it. the water hitting the floor and splashing, and her scrubbing the car made me feel the same way

  • so relaxing i so love it ;; awesome work man keep it up =]

  • It's... amazing. Really, it's very relaxing, maybe some childhood memories? I don't know.

  • It would be really appreciated if you could make a recording of you unloading and loading the dishwasher possibly...I really enjoy it when some people do that, although I don't like when people make loud noises and clang dishes around, I like it when they're doing it calmly and quietly...also gently...it kind of has a soothing sound to it...If you could do something like that, it would be greatly appreciated..and if you could do more turning the pages of a book or magazine gently and softly. :)

  • I get very sleepy on paper sounds, or plastic..etc....wierd eh?

  • I LOVE THE COMMENTS AND PEOPLE ON THIS VIDEO PAGE. :) :) :) :)

  • This may sound crazy, but can you make a video of you flipping through a magazine where you have difficulty turning the pages and you have to really rub your thumb and finger against the pages to get down to just one page. I love that sound!

  • @raspberrypineapple Not so crazy. Any particular magazine? I know it sounds dumb, but different magazines have different sounds.

  • .....zzzzzz....zzzzzzzzz....

  • @punecrusher5000 awesome

  • can you make a video were you turn them slowly please. Like in the waiting room of a doctors office or so. Helps me fall asleep. Thank you.

  • @yenta1 Hhhmmm, not a bad idea. What would i call it?

  • Woww....it's so soothing...I never realised other people liked these sounds as much as I did. I thought I was weird lol xD

  • @Aussiegirl265 Yes, there is a whole secret society of paper sound hounds. Welcome to the PSH society.

  • I actually listen to this before i go to bed, it puts me to sleep. soothing for some reason.

  • @dragonn2 Thanks!

  • The top of my head tingles, and my eyes gets heavier, and heavier. I have always been stimulated by certain sounds, such as these. For years i thought i was the only one who had those feelings, until i Googled, lol.

Anyway, thanks for the sound vids. Very relaxing.

  • @LogicLyfe same here. its an un-explainable feeling right? It feels like your headphones are giving your brain a massage!

  • @abci23billionmillion Dates back to when I was a kid in gradeschool...droning teacher....some kid leafing through textbook out of boredom....me asleep.

  • @Leviticus45 really? I love how youtube can connect us "insomniacs" and talk about how we have the same weaknesses! Thats why i cant be in a library. People are flipping pages, im asleep, snoring loud as can be, next thing you know, i get kicked out. haha

  • @abci23billionmillion Excellent...you sum it all up very well.

  • @LogicLyfe You are definitely not alone! The toughest part about being an insomniac is finding the right combination of sounds to put you in the hypnotic zone. I am happy this audio relaxed you.

  • @Leviticus45

Yes, it is hypnotic, lol. I also wanted to add, i made an mp3 of your video, i was out in five minutes of listening to it,lol.

I hope you don't mind, that made it into an mp3.

  • @LogicLyfe Not at all. If you hadn't made it into an mp3, I would have sent it to you as an mp3. Insomniacs must stick together. We are the brotherhood of sleeplessness.

  • @Leviticus45 I just quoted you on facebook. :-)

  • @FakeRebel Niiiiiice

  • @LogicLyfe Im still wondering why our brains find these sounds so relaxing.

  • @LogicLyfe gotta love it
