hey all u bitches who insult the troops, here's a message: GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. i mean i cant believe there are so many people oblivious to the fact that soldiers like privates and sergeants and other enlisted and some officers don't decide who invades Iraq. they probably joined to defend their country, not to be cold blooded killers. if anyone has a complaint then only blame the excutive branch for any screwups and the congress for declaring war. but other than that, the troops ar eheroes.

I spent part of my childhood (Vietnam war years) on a military base in Colorado where the soldiers would come back home after having their bodies blown to bits, and my Dad and Mom would help try to put them back together. Not only have we had thousands of deaths from this war in Iraq, we've had tens of thousands wounded, physically and mentally.

Iraqis were trying to get jobs, lined up on the street to test for police training. Someone decided this was a bad idea and popped a VBIED. We counted 68 dead, and the air smelled like a perverted gasoline barbecue. The charred ones weren't so bad, they didn't look human anymore. One woman's body had a broken leg and some singed clothes, and she was the worst.

One guy was hit by a mortar. He was out smoking with a buddy. Last I talked to him, he still had shrapnel embedded in his jawbone. The major nerve in his left leg was severed, and he went through three morphine patches a day to cope with it.

Another guy we called Hat Trick. First he got shot, then an IED, then an RPG. He had the scars, but the brass fought the paperwork for his purple hearts. He jittered constantly, even more when he went out on missions. They finally pulled him off the line and put him on the radio.
