@balak121 well, i made it work :) i welded a sprocket to my clutch gear.. that clutch comes from a husqvarna chainsaw and the engine comes from an stiga weedeater..
proper job . mine is on hold for a bit the electrics are playing up iv blown 4 servos i cant figure out whats causing then to pop i went on ebay and bought a 15kg high torque servo and still managed to pop it what a waste
this is just an prototype so far! it have temporary brackets to hold the engine.. there will be an aluminum plate and real brackets for the engine. there will also be an chain tightener witch is spring loaded and the chain will foat on that.
looks a little rickety

@Bluezero75 i just used a band system with pulleys and it works perfect so far just gotta keep tension on the band.

transmission?? you mean drive train
paintballforever24 1 year ago
@paintballforever24 well its a kind of transmission i think? because of the clutch and stuff..
Bluezero75 1 year ago
@Bluezero75 Not really... a transmission usually has gears like say a HPI Savage tranny, this is a centrifugal clutch Drivetrain.

Stay away from cheap servos.
They all say "High torque" but that don't mean High Quality.
If it was a good quality servo, did you put too much voltage through it?
You can't run more than 6V.
hairyalien 1 year ago
i run mine at 12volts and about 8 amps.. its working fine! about 180 pounds of torque

@Bluezero75 what servo did you get and where did you get it?

nice job fairplay one thing though the chain looks slightly saggy is there any way you could tieten it up that could couse a lot of vibration
