Perhaps not, I was just taken back by the note on their website that you had to have an expert license to ride in advanced so I assumed that maybe their groups were faster than average. Then I see this video where a control rider seems to be running lap times twice as fast as the group and the other riders changing lines mid turn etc. As a NOVICE racer, we still run within 10-15 or so seconds of any track record and I don't know any novice racers who belong in an intermediate track day group.
@varicella7 and knowing that the control rider is an AMA racer puts it a little more into perspective too, most control riders are either novice or expert wera or ccs racers, some not even racers, ama guys are fast.
@varicella7 Do you know the track conditions, ambient temp, time of day, session of the day, etc.? Yes, it's slow, but new track to EVERYONE, and no one is out of control except for maybe the camera rider...
First trackday of the year too for most, not first race of the year. There's still spots open for NOLA on February 11-12, come make a better video!
@vafireman21 I assure you the camera man is not out of control. Kurt is an AMA endurance racer with a recent top 3 finish at Road Atlanta. When he's not racing, he's making sure us weekend warriors play nice and follow the rules.
@varicella7 Speed on the track is relative. There are very few people who can come close to keeping up with Fastfossil. I guarantee you couldn't hang with him.
I didn't even know AMA had endurance racing. I can't find his stats on the AMA website.

those "intermediates" appear to be going painfully slow yet the website says that an "EXPERT" race license is required for the advanced group???
