I still think Ocarina of Time is a better game, but after watching this video, I think I'm going to dig out my N64 console and games and see if I can remember how to play.
By the way, I think some people are taking this tribute far too seriously. I think it's fun.
i bought an xbox just for nuts and bolts, i love the banjo series <3 the original is my favourite game of all time and it took me years to fully complete! (i wasn't very good when i was young) now i can easily complete it in a day :)
I first played it all the way back in '98 (at age 16) on the N64 (it was a Christmas present (& so was the N64!), I thought it was ironic as there is a Christmas level in game).
A few years ago I had to get rid of my N64, I had no room for it anymore. I was upset at the idea of not being able to play Banjo again BUT then XBox released it to their console! [So now have it on 360 and have just recently completed the game again for about the 20th time].
I want a new game of Banjo-Kazooie... I don't like Nuts and Bolts!!! The essence and the original type of the game, the story... i don't want that it change! I want the old Banjo-Kazzoie... Fot Xbox 360, that's right! But with musical notes, mumbo jumbo and the transformations, the puzzle pieces and new world and levels!! I love Banjo-Kazooie because I played it when I was a kid, with my mother! We love Banjo! :) (SORRY if I've mistakes, I'm spanish and I don't know so much english xD)

Translation: It was a really good trailer, hitting the sweet spot for epicness because you put the epic text in there making it trailer-esque(or however you spell esque) therefore making it EPIC! If it weren't for the new YT system I would have given this the full 5 stars.

Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie is sooo awesome!! Whoever never played it is missing out. Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie are two of my favorite games. I've beaten it at least 25 times since i got it, and never got the least bit bored of it
I always liked banjo tooie more... The new moves, the new eggs, the ability to separate, the awesome boss battle music! I also liked turning Kazooie into a dragon!
Banjo-Tooie is better because of the multiplayer mode, however, the lag on the N64 version of Tooie takes away from the game a bit, but Tooie is the better game in my opinion.

You say it's the best game of all time, but why did you chose a gameplay video in wich the player uses CHEATS or HACKING? What happen to the NO FREAKIN CHEATS way of playing a game?! Ok, Cheato does give you cheats, but they're available, IN THE ACTUAL GAME. I'm playing it right now, the way it's originaly meant to be played, and I have a whole lot more fun than with ''Unlimited everything cheats'' or other ones. If you're not playing a game the original way, you're not playing it for fun.
zomg, i must agree. i would give infinite and a fourth votes up to you if i could. NO CHEAT! the only time i cheat, is on a game im not going to save on or a racing game with no story mode, aka Rush, which is fun. and really the only cheat i use on that is infinite practice mode time and respawn where you crashed, so me and my bro can play on a secret area on one of the tracks. so much fun to die in that area from the most epic flip ever... ah *daydreams*
Really... and, what convenience would that be? You wouldn't have run out of Red or Gold Feathers, nor of Blue Eggs for what you used them for, in your gameplay. Neither would you have lost a big part of your lifebar when jumping down from the top of Treasure Trove Cove, the way you did. Were those cheats really necessary? If it was easier that way then, okay, do as you wish, it's YOUR gameplay. Anyways, I do hope you do not use cheats when playing it for fun. To me... Cheats = no challenge.

Because I'm one of the few people who dislike using cheats (which aren't given in the game itself) in games, no matter the level of difficulty and especially if they're not necessary in order to accomplish actions such as those shown in this tribute video. I got nothing against the tribute video itself. I prefer honoring good games just the way they are, without any cheats to make it easier or less of a challenge. That's all.
@Jaiden11 Yeah, even for games such as Contra on the NES. Can't say I'm really fond about using the Konami code when I play it, but since, in that case, the difficulty level is a BIT higher than Banjo-Kazooie, I tend to use it anyway. I don't like using cheats for games I can do fine without them, at the extent of my abilities as a gamer, cuz I'm playing the game's challenge fair and square, and that's very important to me.

i disagree with you - i don't think nintendo's quality in making games has gone down at all - i think there problem is with the direction they've chosen to take lately (appealing to the casual crowd, which means us real gamers have to suffer). this is why i sold my wii for a ps3. but i definitely don't doubt that nintendo is still excellent at making games - smg, ztp, mp3, and ssbb were all excellent games, but they suffered from the direction change (poor graphics, limited online functionality)

Banjo-Kazooie was by far the greatest game out there and might still be to this day as well as its sequel...Then...Then the vehicles came in and...Well destroyed the greatness...Nuts and Bolts better just be considered an in between where there will be another WITHOUT vehicles for the fans to enjoy...One where Kazooie can FLY again and actually be of USE besides a freaking wrench...BK Forever!
I much preferred it to Banjo-Tooie.

zomg, i must agree. i would give infinite and a fourth votes up to you if i could. NO CHEAT! the only time i cheat, is on a game im not going to save on or a racing game with no story mode, aka Rush, which is fun. and really the only cheat i use on that is infinite practice mode time and respawn where you crashed, so me and my bro can play on a secret area on one of the tracks. so much fun to die in that area from the most epic flip ever... ah *daydreams*

Really... and, what convenience would that be? You wouldn't have run out of Red or Gold Feathers, nor of Blue Eggs for what you used them for, in your gameplay. Neither would you have lost a big part of your lifebar when jumping down from the top of Treasure Trove Cove, the way you did. Were those cheats really necessary? If it was easier that way then, okay, do as you wish, it's YOUR gameplay. Anyways, I do hope you do not use cheats when playing it for fun. To me... Cheats = no challenge.

@benp661 Well... I do. That's why you replied to my comment, right? Because I'm one of the few people who dislike using cheats (which aren't given in the game itself) in games, no matter the level of difficulty and especially if they're not necessary in order to accomplish actions such as those shown in this tribute video. I got nothing against the tribute video itself. I prefer honoring good games just the way they are, without any cheats to make it easier or less of a challenge. That's all.

@Jaiden11 Yeah, even for games such as Contra on the NES. Can't say I'm really fond about using the Konami code when I play it, but since, in that case, the difficulty level is a BIT higher than Banjo-Kazooie, I tend to use it anyway. I don't like using cheats for games I can do fine without them, at the extent of my abilities as a gamer, cuz I'm playing the game's challenge fair and square, and that's very important to me.

@Jaiden11 ... in this tribute, then seeing him using something that's not a part of the game's roots to show it... I dunno, it just gets to me a lot... that's all. I just have an obsession with NO CHEATS for this game. I may actually be the only one who thinks this way, but people reacted negatively to this... so... I've been anticipating the user to erase my old comments, cuz it got some of them very angry and frustrated... kinda like when I first commented on this video.

Too bad most people hated Nuts and Bolts, I find it to be a very fun game, although it's a lot more like Diddy Kong than Banjo, but whatever.
Although if they make another, they'll probably note the poor sales and make the game everyone wanted Nuts and Bolts to be.

No. They should have absolutely no right to Banjo-Kazooie.
1. It's Rare's IP, not Nintendo's.
2. Nintendo's quality in games has gone WAAAY down, and it would be a disgrace to Banjo-Kazooie.
3. If they were to try to get the games on Wiishop without permission, Rare could bring up a lawsuit on Nintendo, and Nintendo won't risk it.

i disagree with you - i don't think nintendo's quality in making games has gone down at all - i think there problem is with the direction they've chosen to take lately (appealing to the casual crowd, which means us real gamers have to suffer). this is why i sold my wii for a ps3. but i definitely don't doubt that nintendo is still excellent at making games - smg, ztp, mp3, and ssbb were all excellent games, but they suffered from the direction change (poor graphics, limited online functionality)

Rare is now owned by Microsoft, and like a Bungie game, it will never appear anywhere else.
That's why Rare hasn't made a Nintendo game since the GameCube.
Too bad Microsoft is making them make the games Rare doesn't want to make.
I just like to think of the glory days, sitting back playing some Banjo Kazooie or Conker's Bad Fur Day. Good times, good times.

Banjo-Kazooie was by far the greatest game out there and might still be to this day as well as its sequel...Then...Then the vehicles came in and...Well destroyed the greatness...Nuts and Bolts better just be considered an in between where there will be another WITHOUT vehicles for the fans to enjoy...One where Kazooie can FLY again and actually be of USE besides a freaking wrench...BK Forever!

Nintendo shot themselves in the foot when they parted ways with Rare. Banjo Kazooie was way better then Super Mario Sunshine and Galaxy.
