Thank you for sharing this song. It brought tears to my eyes as I remembered how my dad sang this song when I was a child. Little did I know then that he suffered a painful break up with his high school sweetheart around 1947 and never forgot about her. After being widowed, he found her again 55 years later and they eloped. Dad is now 80, and I just sent them your most beautiful version of this song that is so similar to the way he sang it with his guitar all those years ago.
