Nice job by the annoucer reminding every one aroundthe car that they need to kill the power in order to keep the fire out. I think the annoucer kept saying that because every one seemed focused on fire surpression Putting out the fire. With power on then wires can keep sparking providing ignition for the escaping fuel. He was doing the only thing he could to help reminding the crews to shut down the cars power. Every one was fire fighting 7 not killing power stopping the fire.

stop putting nitrous in vehicles,it's too unstable,and not worth blowing your engine,and it can't be used multiple times in one race. Get a strong v8 or higher,racing fuel injectors,racing tires with proper air pressure,hi flow air filters,racing mufflers,twin turbo,and use high octane fuel,then you'll have a fast car that won't blow up easy.

@4BiZ20 He wasn't talking about the power inside the car he meant the main power switch. The first thing one of the guys in the back should've done was shut off the main power which is through a switch on the rear of the car. As you can see for about 20 seconds nobody even looks to turn it off...if a fuel pump was left on in the car the fire might've never went out. Killing the main power is important and the announcer was 100% correct in reminding them.

At a car accident fireman are told to cut the battery cables to prevent any thing from catching fire. The announcer knew what he was talking about.. Anytime you see a car fire the fuel is Usually ignited by the electrical sys.

I DONT think that was a problem due to it being a ford, i think a line burst-ed or came loose and the nitrous collected in a hot engine bay and boom. But thats what happens sometimes when u run bottles. GO FORD FTW.

It's a main power shut off for the battery. Electric fuel pump won't run without it on.
