This is from a 'live' BBC studio session in 1968 by Status Quo and was included in the recent re-release of their first album. It includes a rare session by them when they were The Spectres and also interviews in which they sound like a giggling boy band (because they were). It's on Spotify if anyone's interested. I often wondered how this song actually ended. It was obviously given a great deal of thought ................. Still, great song, great version.
Agree with dc and ntf. Those of us who lived through the 60's are the lucky ones even if we're the targeted masses for the kind of insurance that no one can be turned down. This video was great. Thanks for posting.
great cover, thanks for posting. forget taking acid to replicate the 60's. I know a few that never really came back from psychedelics, anyway.
Just clear your mind, light a candle, relax and think... I'm young and free and deserve love... see the world thru new eyes... and there you are, at peace and with love - and Free!
I guess we have to live with what we have now and make the best of it. I am a bit young to understand the 60's, but I imagine it as a utopia on so many levels. This part of the 60's was an outcome of American success, what we call the 60's could never happen in a third world country.
The 60's were when food/cloth rationing ended after World War II. There was free health care and council housing for those who lost their homes. At the same time the first synthetic dyes/fabrics came out - fashion designers could now select the colours for their patterns, rather than having to design patterns that worked with the colours. Then there was the influence of the space industry on fashion with checkerboard patterns and op art.

60s was the best. So sad that people are changing, and there will never be the atmosphere like in 60s
