I just recently started with weightlifting. Iam expriencing the problem he talks about when you have to big arms. Ive been traning powerlifting and bodybuilding. and my arms are close to 21 inches.
When I pull from the floor I have serious problems getting the bar to land on my shoulders. I cant get my forearms down enough to the shoulders and the bar lands inside my hand. My wrist dont hurt so much but the pain inside my hand is hard to handle. Frustrating as hell..is stretching the answer?
Brilliant demo. It's about logic, leverage, kinesthetics and then: will to succeed. Only anabolics will put you beyond that if you got the need to compete with others. I say compete with yourself and the weight. Perfect yourself. The weight is the measure of your work for yourself. Why work for anyone but yourself?

Your vertical and 40yard Dash is your competitor, cause alot of weights in olympic lifting aint means alot of performance. Mostly puttin too much weight onis just dumb, good for a big leg but bad fo performance
powerlifting shoes and weightlifting shoes are different. the weightlifting have like 1.25 inch wood heel, or normally wood. The powerlifting is like, ankle support really
Gr8 vid. You know when the bar goes up 2 the waiste/mid section it looks like lifters push their waiste/mid section into the bar 2 help propel it up. Is that the case; i've tried doing it and it seems v.hard at a heavy weight?
yes, many lifters doing the snatch, the bar actually makes contact with the body, thats actually how close the bar is when they say keep the bar close to the body, its hard at a heavy weight but when you have massive pulling power from your shoulders from doing pulls, its not a problem at all
haha. i dont know if 90 percent of american clean wrong. id say more around 75. my team has pretty good form. we bring our elbows up high, and we aim for a full bottom squat clean when we do c&j's.

james87876 3 years ago
yea but they don't purposely try to hump the bar, the hump looking motion is a result of the explosive jump you do right before the shrug.

people usually to think that. but in actuality the knee has to be lower than the butt which has to be lower than the shoulder.
