There's only one main cause and one main solution to all of our environmental problems. Population and population reduction. Everything else is just symptoms and window dressing.
Let's not take 20 years to figure that out. It can be done gracefully over time if we start now.
we all need to take our part and show others too, and maybe someday, our planet will be at least a little better:)

I do agree with what you say. But the fact is no matter how big or small the population is, we still need to be environmentally conscious and active.
