Came here after a particulary depressing week. I fell in love with my best friend, and we gave it a shot, and we were in love. Then she fell out of love with me and tried to move on, she could not. and it was hurting her, because of me, so i made her hate me so she could forget me. It worked, to well, i lost the girl i love and my best friend.
so.. ive been talking to this girl. shes had a terrible past. guys used her and broke her heart too many times. now shes sad all the time. i also have a bad past except i use to be the bad guy alot of the time. until i was with a girl for 3 years then she cheated and lied. now ive met this new depressed girl and i think shes the one. but i cant fix her depression i cant heal the wounds of her past.. any advice?
@CurzedGamer Keep trying.Keep being there for her.Let her know that you do care more then anyone and show her all the time.Be true to her and honest.I went through sort of the same thing and as long as you truely love each other and you keep trying i'm sure you can make it.
@CurzedGamer It's a misconception that the right person can fix everything. Depression doesn't get fixed, it's an illness, you can't cure it any more than you can cure pneumonia. My fiancee had a horrible past as well, and I know I can't make any of her memories fade. I can just give her better ones. Good luck to you, not many people will admit that they were the bad part of their relationships. I think that honesty could serve you well.

at first i only intended to help, console, remedy her pain and so i made myself available the whole time she was hurting. but, i made a big mistake by leaving myself vulnerable to being dragged down while she was struggling to get up... and now that shes up, she declared herself free as a bird. while i look at her as the only person who can help me get up again.. sad, but true this happens to people..
