Interesting. I agree, we shouldn't believe in a magician god. However, the Biblical God does not claim to be a magician. Where did matter and energy come from? A lot of theories abound out there, positing ideas of the origin, but none of them are concrete. Perhaps it really was God's "Thoughts" that started the process. Whatever we think we know, the origin is still the greatest mystery of cosmology. No one has it pegged.

Sorry mate, it's not us wich have only a book as 'proof', so the illusion part is on your side.
If a book is so true, should we assume that Santa & Harry Potter lives ? :)

It is atheists who are the magicians. Atheists make out God to be a disappearing act, while wanting others to be tricked by the illusion.
