Uh well, then you are kinda a dumbass too. Nevada's field goal posts aren't regulation size and announcers said that if they had been college football sized, Brotzman would ,more likely than not, have made the field goal. So, Boise shouldn't have lost to Nevada and the Oregon Sucks ( I mean Ducks) wouldn't be playing Auburn. So, there you go hypocrite...
@Z88Ennen what the fuck are you talking about? Oregon played BJC, got cheap shotted out of a win. then had to play on that terrible blue turf with a whole new offensive line and got beat. Oregon would have smashed on Boise last season...it wouldn't have even been close. and yeah...it IS Boise's fault nobody will schedule them. they ask for ridiculous conditions that NOBODY would agree to. then go out and say they try to schedule people and they say no. what a joke of an athletic department.
@Z88Ennen Boise Junior College won only once at Autzen...by 5 against a backup WR playing QB because BJC's coaches told their players to take out Masoli.
conditions like they want over a million dollars, want to do a home and home instead of a 2 for 1 like they should get, and want teams to take a huge pay cut to come play on their blue turf that gives them an unfair advantage. Boise isn't a big-time program. they can't win a couple games in a shitty conference and start acting like it.
Boise has every right to want a home and home... the million dollars is for a new stadium which Boise doesn't have the funding for right now... and they did win twice at Autzen. Their turf isn't an advantage either... from the stands it looks like the players blend in, but I have been on the field and you can see the players clearly wherever you are. Boise may be in a shitty conference, but they can play with better teams as they have shown...
@Z88Ennen no, if Boise State can't compensate a team for the amount of money they lose traveling to Boise and not scheduling a home game instead, they don't have any right to demand a home and home. it's not another team's responsibility to buy Boise a new stadium. they rarely even sell out the tiny one you got. Boise did NOT win at Autzen twice. stop saying they did. and yes, the blue turf is an advantage no matter what you say. why doesn't Boise State ever wear orange uniforms on it then?
Uniforms: Because they shouldn't have to... the turf is why the stadium stands out. I would rather see them in their pro combat gear instead, but they have won regardless of their uniform color and they shouldn't have to change because other schools whine about it... the Ducks switch it up all the time to match their field too... I didn't say Boise had the right to a home and home, I said they have the right to WANT one. I don't really agree with the million dollar crap though...
@Z88Ennen no, they took most of the orange off their uniforms and wear all blue because it gives an advantage. just like it gave EWU an advantage on their red field all the way to a championship. Oregon wears all green once a year. after losing to BSU against Purdue and against USC in 2009. against Stanford in 2010. all for an advantage. Oregon's field is tapered tho so it doesn't matter much.
if BSU wants to be a big boy, sell out your stadium and go on the road. that's how Oregon did it.
@Z88Ennen oh, and regardless if Boise made the kick or not (and they didn't..the rule is if a ball goes over any portion of the goal post, it's not good) Boise still wouldn't get a chance at an NC with Oregon and Auburn going undefeated. Stanford might have even passed them.
Well yeah, I meant that if Nevada's goal posts were regulation size, the kick possibly would have been good. I was just saying that events might have turned out differently, I don't think that Boise would have really had a chance at the National Championship this year.
@Z88Ennen if Nevada's goalposts went up to infinity, the kick possibly would have bounced off the post and in. or maybe it was a ref error. had the refs called Cliff Harris' INT on Cam Newton a catch before the review, it would be have been upheld and Auburn wouldn't have thrown a TD pass on the next play and Oregon may have a national title. shit happens.
How dumb can people be saying he made it. If he made it dont you think he as well as the rest of the kicking team would be celebrating? there is a reason why they aren't jumping around.
All I am saying is it is hard to tell from that angle and judging from the kicker to where it landed on the net It looks good due to the camera's 2d vantage point and the fact that the goal posts were too short to see the ball pass either way. Was it a good kick? No of course not.
This kick looks good from here. Not unless it went outside and then curved back to the net. Look at the angle between the kicker and where it hits the net.
You can't tell by the TV camera. There is no depth perception to tell whether the ball passed between the uprights or not. That's why they had two officials stationed behind the uprights - one on each side - to make the call. On that great catch to set up the attempt, the receiver hit the ground just 2 or 3 yards inside the left hash mark. The officials helped him by spotting the ball right in the middle of the field. Then the replay official iced him by stopping to review the catch. LOL
until they do win these games, they won't have a chance to play those teams. yet they have beat the hokeys and oklahoma. by the way, to anyone who reads this, if you calculate the trajectory of the ball and the overall deviation of the ball's path, The field goal is good. i was bored in math. and no, i am not a bsu fan, but i know a bad call when i see one.
The problem is strength of schedule, yea Boise wins alot, and by alot of points, but they play fcs caliber teams, play some sec, big 12, or even big 10 teams and win, then ppl win give them credit... till then they don't deserve to be in a bcs bowl
@FitInBoise actually they lost in 2008 against TCU, then won last year against TCU, another overrated team that's leaving their conference so the can play a harder schedule, genius. Nice try, but Boise State still sucks as well as the rest of the WAC
@tmheiny is that why teams refused to play either of them at home? TCU tried to play top flight teams but nobody would sign on. Fear shows some you moron
@tmheiny You obviously have no idea what you talking about since Boise has a harder SoS then almost every big ten team. People who complain about Boise State schedule don't bother looking at stats. Oregon is ranked 77th in the nation while Boise is 44th in SoS yet nobody said a word when Oregon was ranked 1. Check your facts before you make an ass out of yourself.
I was right there—down in the bottom left corner next to the guy in the orange wig—and he definitely missed it. Hate to see a game won on missed field goals, but what an awesome win for Reno.... GO WOLF PACK!!!
AFTER THE GAME THE KICKER TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE BY HANGING HIMSELF BUT FAILED TO DO SO CAUSE HE COULDN'T KICK THE CHAIR HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....GO WOLF PACK
@RAIDERS58th yeah 1 loss the last 2 years... i guess Bama and LSU shouldn't ever be takin seriously ever again. neither should OSU, Wisconsin, MSU, and any other team that lost a game.
Looks good to me - hold a card up to the post, You will see it. seems like if the posts were as long as regular posts it would have been in. I wish they would show that from some different camera angles. one from the side would be best eh? Too late now anyway though right?
