The ABC and its ilk LOVE the idea of more diversity...now matter WHERE people are from or WHAT values they hold. One of the major benefits of this is that they are able to say to their latte sipping lovies how "diverse" their city is, without actually having to experience such diversity themselves (i.e. none of these refugees are going to be moving into their suburbs anytime soon).
