  • Stan Getz owes his career to brazilian music, specially Jobim and Gilberto. He's alright, though. :-)

  • @giorgioguilherme with respect i do not fully agree, he was already a great career musician before getting into it but it shure boosted his fame and finance..:)

  • thankxxxx so much, I adore and love Stan Getz and his music. Just GREAT!!!

  • Belíssima interpretação auxiliada pelo famoso Sax tenor Selmer Mk VI.

  • Smoothest!!!!!!

  • Man Mike Richmond has a style which is incredible. A lot of bassists you can't really tell who is playing. His stands out so well. Funky, but tasteful, creative without be self righteous or over embellished. It manages to stand alone, but somehow, hold down both the groove and the tonal structure perfectly. I can't imagine a better bassist for this combo

  • The Bass player is a muh-fuh in his own right...Name?

  • un grande del jazz de todos los tiempos

  • assista os videos MORAISITO ... The Best!

  • Simply outstanding. Genius.

  • does it get any better?

  • yes, this IS poetry, pure and beautiful! too bad he is no longer with us... the best die young!

  • Stan beats all.

  • One of the coolest cats that ever lived...

  • The Greatest Tenor player of them all.

  • The Master. Maybe in the top five in US Jazz history.

  • @Carterofmars Yes he is. One of the best-check out trane, Phil Woods, bird and many more

  • I started playing sax in 9th grade after playing the clarinet since 2nd grade. It was because I was offered a Selmer Baritone and promised a varsity letter if I made every concert. I played the horn, made all the ocncerts but couldn't earn a varsity letter as a freshman. I quit the band, bought my own Beuscher sax and discovered Stan Getz. I still play 40 years later and have heard many more technical or faster players but none smoother or tasteful. Stan is fast but measured. I am envious.

  • stan picked his notes and could bop if he wanted but im glad he stuck to this style anyone can hammer chord changes without meaning or feeling as good as coltrane just a dif style

  • Can you play better Tenor? No. Can i play better Tenor? No.

  • The most creative and most lyrical tenor man of all time. Also the most underrated.

  • Ich hab's so lange nicht mehr gehört...

    Einfach cooool!!!

  • I saw this group minus the bongos in Cincinnati.

Bogart's to be exact... got to hang a minute with Billy Hart.

  • Unique forever!

  • I'm just getting into Jazz.... and all I can say is that Stan is amazing.
