READ THIS.This is a blatant case of animal cruelty and as an ethical human being and a citizen of missouri you have the absolute RIGHT to call your local ASPCA to have them take these poor dogs away to be rehomed where they will be LOVED. Do the right thing; don't say there's nothing you can do.It doesn't make you a good person to post videos of you playing with a chained-up dog.It does, however, make you the best of all people when you can let us know that these people are no longer dog owners.
A properly housed dog outside is far more healthy than an indoor dog. As far as their coat and physic. Your an idiot the dog is fine and well you broke the law jumping a fence.
@snoopytjbm um not if it's CHAINED.....he would be healthy if he was free to roam around...and play with other dogs or people...animals need interaction too...you don't get animal so you can chain them outside...that's not healthy for ANY animal...who told you that..
is that a Labrador? why the fuck someone need to chain a dog that super friendly like this one and from what i saw the compound is surrounded with wire fence which is enough to keep the dog confined. sad
if i ever say i guy being mean to an dog or cat i wouldn't give a shit i would fucking punch the shit out of that monther fucker and then take the dog/cat home and clean it up get some food and report the mother fucker
Yes, he is chained all day and night. I pleaded with her for almost 6 months to bring him inside and she refused. There is no law against this in Missouri. He is soooo lonely for attention-he just wants to be inside with the family. I feel sad when I think about him just sitting there in the snow and rain and thunderstorms, etc. This is morally and ethically wrong and the law hasn't caught up yet. Thanks for watching!
I am tempted, he is such a loving dog. There are 3 dogs in the backyard and I would have to take them all at once. I have a small car and I live in an apartment with 8 cats at the moment. I don't have any room for 3 dogs, otherwise I would take them. All of the people I know who take rescues, don't have any room either. :(
awe good job, even if there is nothing that you can do to get him away from his owners, you are doing a great thing by stopping by and playing with him! he has a long chain though and food and water, his owners at least cared about him THAT much. although it's still sad. :(
Well done! It is uplifting to see someone giving this dog some play time and company, I'm so glad you tried to educate the 'owners' regarding the sad life of dogs on chains, in chaining their dog they are shutting him/her out of their lives, so why have a dog? Surely a dog is supposed to be the closest companion animal to us, they are mising out and their dog is living a miserable life. Thank you for caring and for making a difference!
He's desperate for attention, probably the first time someone has ever played with him or given him any attention. It's a shame they have him tied up.
This is not illegal in Kansas City. If we took him, we would be breaking the law. Only animal control can take him, and they don't really care about it. They seem bothered when we call about dogs like this.
I have talked to the owners, 3 times! There is nothing else I can do. I have called animal control...if the dog has food and water, they won't do anything.
Don't you think it bothers me that I have to leave him out there like that?! Don't you think that I think about him and the other dogs I see in the same situation all the time?
If I took every dog that was out there like that, I wouldn't have any place to put them! If you don't go out and help dogs like this-don't reply again.

WHY have an animal if you dont want to PLAY with it???
Do some ppl just get a dog to say they have a dog?? WHAT'S THE POINT??
Everyone should know the joy of rescuing a dog and having him be your best friend.
NO dog should be chained up outside..dogs are PACK animals..they need their PACK!! (their human)

Is he chained up all the time day and night? I mean he looks quite healthy but it makes me sad to see dogs chained up like that.
I`m sure theres the few exeptions and working dogs are different but here dogs are normally in the home and part of the family.

Thanks for giving this poor sweet chained dog some attention. Obviously the owners do not deserve the dog. What is the address of this dog?

I think so too. I felt terrible when I had to leave. I wanted to stay all day and play with him. He is a really sweet dog.

Why the fuck you don´t take him then from there?

Then i would talk to the Owner!
You can ask him and maybe he Sale´s the Dog or give it tou you for Free!
I think someone who put his Dog on a Chain don´t Really love his Dog!
You can put a Dog on the Chain from 1-2 Hours
a Day,that´s ok but this dog is the whole time on it!
I know nothing about the Owner, maybe he care´s good for the Dog!
The Dog has Toy´s there,Food and Water and maybe the owner put him off the Chain for a Time at the Day?If he don´t do that i would talk to him!!
