Then you didn't read very closely... he lost to illegal strikes in that match... the judges ignored the rules of the organization and allowed the illegal strikes because the strike opened a cut causing a doctor's stoppage in a tournament, which would mean Fedor could not advance as he should because of the cut. The decision was made to allow the other guy to advance because of the tournament structure.

how do you come to that conclusion? PrideFC's format was more inclusive in allowing 4point attacks; the 10min. 1st rd. was simply superior giving ample time to both strikers & grapplers. PrideFC had tournaments! ufc hasn't for many years. The vast majority of important and exciting fights have taken place in the Pride ring. Your basing everything on the ufc buyout of Pride; just remember the masses are seldom right? look what happened to Jesus Christ.
