  • this is amazing!!

  • how can a body reject something made of metal etc? Doesn't matter - nothing will happen to them - only if your organ/part is biological - like kidneytransplantations can be damaged if people don't take their medicine. Can't see how augs could be rejected?

  • im calling bullshit on this. i mean giving up our humanity? bitch please, humanity is how humane our choices and actions are, not how much of our bodies are flesh and blood. its the same thing as it is in real life, these people are introduced to something new and immediately see all of the bad of it but none of the good. this is as much propaganda as the corporations advertisements. protesters fail to understand that its an individual choice whether or not to do something.

  • Damn it, this trailer is better than the game itself.

  • I WILL FIGHT WITH YOU

  • I am speachless!! it's like it's real life and it's happening right now in this age. I love Deus Ex game!! I agree with everyone! this should be a movie! it would be an epic movie!

also they might even really do this to us in the future! i'm against it!

  • Bah! This is liberal propaganda, augmentation is good.

  • Salesman: Ok, so Sarif Corp will give you a new arm that can throw further. All we ask in return is that you keep buying our drugs no matter expensive they become and you are gonna let us know what you are doing and where you are at all times. Also you will allow us to directly transfer information into your brain. If you try to cut us off, we will just turn off your arm, and if you don't take that drug, your body will reject your limb and you will die painfully.

Me: Sounds like a good deal!

  • @kkksskkk people really could have said exactly the same thing about facebook ten years ago:

    Facebook salesman:

Just let us rifle through your contacts, datebook, and emails, and let us have a copy of every single one of your photographs, forever, and let us use our phone app to track you in real time.

In exchange for this, we'll let you comment on your aunts cat videos.

Everyone: OMG SIGN ME UP PLZ

  • @AnonymousElektron people sure are stupid. But, facebook doesn't make you pay anything as long as you are smart enough read things before accepting them. yeah, invasion of privacy has become a pretty frail issue, though, which does suck.

  • this was the god damn fuckin best live action trailer i've ever seen in my entire fuckin live!

  • LOOKS LIKE A MOVIE THEY CAN DO

  • What I don't understand how augmentations require neuropazine... It doesn't make sense, we know from monkey's who have been given additional limbs that there is no neural rejection. And there is certainly no physical rejection as long as you have all non reactive metals at the body to augment border... so.... It was always something that bugged me about DX:HR

  • Scary 😢😷

  • When you fink of it , it is kind a scary :x

  • Best game live action trailer EVER

  • how about making a game that allows you to see both sides and choose which one to follow? see the advantages and problems of both choices for ourselves?

  • The problem is very simple, yet never will be overcome.

Augmentations or any form of advancements to your life are not directly bad, BUT:

If they come from another person, this person gains control over you, over you very body.

Letting other people determine your fate in such a direct way, will destroy you and at the end your humanity.

"Freedom must be bought of something."

  • @TalarOun To that I say... Why?

Why can't people actually be the heroes we want to be in our games? The ones who find all the answers? Why can't we actively make sure that what we do, we do for the good of all, not just ourselves?

Why can't we be heroes in a world of endless villains?

    The answer?

    Of course we can.

I didn't ask for a world where theft, drug use, war and killing are a part of our lives. I NEVER asked for this.

But I can sure as hell try and change it.

    Can you?

  • LOLOL at all of your comments thank you guys so much for your dumbass remarks :D

  • Fucking natch propaganda. Get a job hippies.

  • Yeah guys, let's not go to college either, because paying for a better education and better skills is unfair to people who can't afford it!

  • I would like to augment my penis please :p

  • @eohniuhc555 Why? not liek you're ever going to use it something...

  • I wanna be augmented!

  • How is this not a movie yet?

  • @damianchongwh because square enix first movie was crap so they stop making movies

  • @damianchongwh Watch Repo! The Genetic Opera. Similar plot. Its pretty rad.

  • in a way its symbolizing the beginning of the end of the world, by showing us the mark of the beast, only I do not think its the mark of the beast because people have the option to choose whether or not they want to be half machine half human

  • That is so powerful .

  • Who could possibly not want augs in reality lol

  • @FredTF2 Less Humanity, Transhumanism, Controll, Drugs for survival, dependend on the Goverment/ men in power, Ect.

  • Boobs and 8=D's upgrade running windows 8

  • Its hard to see this future ever happening. There just isnt a good reason to do it. I mean, maybe someone would want a Iphone implanted, but... how great would that be when the Iphone 4s is the average just a few years down the line?

Military, I see no reason to augment people. Their service is shorter than most equipment. A exosuit would make more sense both user and cost wise. Its only when people get damaged it makes sense for civilian cost reduction after service.

  • @Lobos222 there's plenty of reasons to augment soldiers, we're doing it already. look up Future Force Warrior and Berkeley Lower Extremity Exoskeleton. not to mention the thousands of remote and ai-controlled robots we're fielding already. turns out walking around all day in 100 degree weather with 90lbs of gear on you, running on no sleep and shitty foods and trying to identify the bad arab from the good arab while maintaining 360-degree awareness tends to wear you out pretty quickly.

  • @deadpan237

Future force warrior and etc is equipment. Its not a augment in the realms of what DeusEx is about. A pacemaker for the heart would be closer to a augment in a comparison to the augments in DeusEx.

So unless a young soldier loses a leg to a mine or similar there is no real cost benefits by augmenting the human body. As an extreme example its better to have a F-16 which many pilots can use over decades than augmenting one human for flying.

  • @Lobos222 you missed the point, clearly they need the capability, obviously they're going to use equipment because we don't have the technology, prosthetic limbs are still in their infancy, once it becomes more viable you better believe they will use it. soldiers use PEDS and the nazis and soviets experimented with testosterone-injected soldiers since ww2.

when you're out in the field, you use every advantage you can get to not die.

  • @Lobos222 also there are thousands of "career soldiers" and PMC's that would see augmentations as a serious investment for making more money.

  • Woman: IM AGAINST AUGMENTATION, YOU MONSTER, YOU DARE GIVE UP YOUR HUMANITY?

    Me: Meh.

    *Week later*

Woman: HELP, MY FAMILY IS ABOUT TO BE CRUSHED BY A FALLING TRUCK (Dont ask why it's falling)

Me: Well, i would help you, But im augmented. I lost my humanity. I mean, i could lift that truck and throw it into the stratosphere, But im augmented, so that would be totally unethical of me.

  • This would be a bad ass movie if one ever gets made! I pray the director and writers don't fuck it up!

  • 1:28 Hey, the new eyePhone rofl (lol @ futurama)

  • What's the music in the background?

  • The future of transhumanism.Welcome to the end of your humanity...dipshits. T_T

  • This should be the commercial to the game

  • i love this game! its so awesome just to start a new file i wish they put in a replay system so you can play the game over again with all ur augments and the only reason to play is just to get the other endings and get all the augments if there is any other endings

  • was that a young Christian Slater at 0:50

  • that was christian slater

  • f* this shit

    long live the '90s

    the era of real games

  • @BringBackMy9Os Allow me to take thew nostalgia goggles of you.

  • @Prnnce

may I ask, what for? To put on the grey goggles of the soulless consumerist crowd?

    no thanks, request denied.

Better stick to the '90s and the real games and humanity.

  • @BringBackMy9Os "MY TASTES ARE SUPERIOR"

You seem like you spend a lot of time on 4chan.

  • @Prnnce

I never said something about "tastes", but morals, culture and bla etc.

What is the meaning of 4chan

    jackie chan

  • the game is just as epic

  • in 1,000 years this will happen i bet. to bad i wont be alive to see it

  • @cr8zgamer lol in 1000 years... we alredy have chips that are implanted in people, already have prototypes of mechanical arms and legs for humans...

  • @Vormav666 ya but its not high tech like those :)

  • @cr8zgamer Yeah but you think it will be this high tech in 1k years? More like 20 years if not less. Tech is evolving fast.

  • @Vormav666 dude i know that i was making fun of it well japan is ahead of us when it comes to technology

  • Loved the game. Loved the series

  • Fuck Sopa(acta) . i live in europe XD

  • @asianboy938 Um ACTA was signed by every country in the EU, well Germany and Netherlands will sign later for some reson but still it will be signed by them.

  • @Vormav666 well i did say i live in europe did i? and sopa for the US people to know what i mean with ACTA as well

  • So the games were very bad. What is this going to be ?

  • @n4pgamer dude, i loved the game... shut up please

  • Sweet, would have liked to see Jensen in it tho.

  • Lame...

    also dogmentation

  • The guy at the start is in anonymous...

  • @Robotix82 No, i'd rather think he's Lazarus or in Purity First. possibly the former.

  • human augmentation is like crop augmentation (genetically modifying crops ) its starting!

  • I hope they make a full movie... the plot is too good to skip

  • @MGuD18 Well there IS a game, and it isn't as good as the Original (nothing is) but it is So So So So! much better than Invisible war. and honestly this one of the best gmaes i every played (i've played hundreds, no kidding)

    :D

  • What is the background music of this trailer?

  • @Guruchild type Deus Ex Huamn Revolution Purity First Soundtrack

and i should come up. No Problem =)

  • and this is why i chose the hugh darrow ending

  • this is going to be like a future PSA lol

  • That is scary... What if we are headed for that.

  • i seen this over 10 times, I would go as far as and one of the best game trailers i seen ever

  • I really wish Hollywood doesn't corrupt Deus Ex with a horrible movie. Why not recruit the writers of the games to do the movie scripts? Not much of a difference between films and video games

  • I didn't ask for this Adam Jensen

  • epic

  • im still an aug man :)

  • This live action trailer is better than any movie based on a video game

  • Jesus Christ...... goosebumps man

  • Soundtrack to this is from .... ?

  • @DawnOfMutilation generic crappy music.

  • wow suddenly i dont want augs...

  • Reminds me alot of Blade Runner and GITS :D

  • make this game a movie i would watch it lolz ;D

  • augmented dick

  • Great live action trailer, to what imo was a great game. I know a lot of people thought differently, but it was a game that nonetheless made people think. Its ultimately a dystopia bringing up issues that are very possible in our future and allows us to think it through with an in-depth and great storyline. I respect these games because they are what are allowing us to say that games, like music and movies, is art too.

  • @randomkiddiesXD

A lot of people thought differently?

  • @Puglous I mean in terms of reviews. The average review gave it an 8, which I found to be underrated.

  • @randomkiddiesXD

It's got a 9 on Metacritic and Gamerankings...

  • @Puglous Well, at least it got some of the ratings it deserved then!

  • @randomkiddiesXD

Those two sites I mention average every review they can find for a game. So that means it got a 9 average out of about 40 reviews.

  • @Puglous Okay, awesome! Umm, why are we arguing about this?

  • @randomkiddiesXD

You're not happy to learn the game got its deserved acclaim?

  • @Puglous No, I'm ecsatic to hear it, I'm just really not sure why we are still talking about it after I agreed with you 4 comments up. So kthnxbye! :)

  • Thumb up if u feel this storyline like Stand Alone Complex : Ghost in the Shell.

  • @SuperBakuTeh More like Stand Alone Complex has a storyline that is like Deus Ex.

  • @SvenKytori either way both are great.

  • @SuperBakuTeh Oh god ive been watching so much of SAC GITS recently and this reminds me so much of it

  • @SuperBakuTeh in ghost in the shell it not some company that tries to controle everyone with cybernetic inplants

  • pls make a whole movie of it, the game really sucks

  • Those people didn't ask for this...

  • "Playing God"?

I thought the future was atheist.

if not then FUCK no cool robot stuff in my life, if yes then I want robot everything

  • does somebody know the song ?

  • Day 27 of searching for SetsuNinja's first comment. Running low on food and water.. and sleep.

If I don't make it back in the next week... tell my wife... i said, Hi :)

  • @Akabane101 no ill tell her your dumb :p you can go to see all comments hit ctrl+ f9 and type in persons username and BA BOOM you has comments up the bum:)

  • I asked for this

  • I didn't ask this movie to stop playing.... oh wait, it's a trailer? damn youuuu! lol

  • I don't know what peoples problem is, they aren't forcing it on us, just giving the option. You don't have to get Augmentation, it reminds me of the abortion thing, i think people have a right to choose, if they want to see through walls, let them. The people fighting this (In game) are just afraid of change. Change is essential to our development and survival, imagine if we hadn't changed, and never had medicine, think of how many people would die. Do you want that?

  • @RedSquarrel666 Actually, they think we're destroying what god intended. And not everyone can afford augmentations. Only a small percent of people in the world can afford augmentations. And when you finally get augmentations, you have to get that special medicine or else the mechs will reject itself from the body of the host, thus killing the host. And maybe your body can't cope with the augmentations in the first place, just like Hugh Darrow. Your body will destroy itself.

  • I'd be..Augmented anyday. If I needed it for anything important.

  • Good vid but seriously, augmentations are the better future.

  • @Sylvanas17 Are they? Is it a better future for a person to throw away what makes them human? What makes them free?

Don't get me wrong, it would be pretty kick ass to punch through walls, run as fast as cars, and have the ablity to see things 6x farther away then what my human eyes could, but I'd rather not be a slave to a system of control for that power.

  • thats pretty epic shit.

  • its like REPOMEN

  • woah halfway through the video i thought it was for a real movie D:<

  • nice

  • i would augment the fuck out of me

  • Comment removed

  • based on this video i would rather have no augmentations because i will be seen as weaker and dumber but then i prove them wrong and yeah, the whole world will follow

  • @Shift4chizzle

So... You're saying that you will become so incredibly intelligent, observant and dexterous you will be able to outperform people with body parts specifically designed to make them intelligent, observant and dexterous?

    Yeah... good luck with that...

  • @SetsuNinja i did it once i can do it again

  • @Shift4chizzle

except, we don't have such technology, so you could not possibly do that.

  • @SetsuNinja i am talking about what the guy said in the video/game, lol have people ever called u a party pooper when you were younger haha. and in terms of the movie thing, he said the games are now more engaging than most movies these days. you are over analyzing everything. and it is all a matter of opinion so you are not right and neither is he. you cant try to debunk opinion. and technology like this is in prototype, maybe not as good as this but we still have he capabilities.

  • @Shift4chizzle

exactly, he is implying that games have become more engaging, but they havent

I over-analyze because I'm a speech writer, and I look for meaning in everything someone says. If they had no purpose for saying it, they wouldn't have said it

The point being that these machines in the game are designed to make people stronger, faster, smarter and more observant than other people, and is implied to make them more powerful than anything the human body can do naturally

  • @Shift4chizzle

furthermore, you have proved my point. It is somethign we have in prototype, but we have nothing as advanced as all of this. In fact, many of the prototypes that are out there now offer only limited function, making their use designed for people who have no other choice.

In a world where these machines are elective and as powerful as they are, there is no way a normal human can keep up, not in all areas, at least.

  • @SetsuNinja it doesnt mean it is impossible and there is no way that guy is wrong because it is an opinion. and people say stuff all the time when it doesnt have any real meaning. to be a speech writer dont you have to look at both sides of the argument? you are looking at everything only in your POV, while thats good, it isnt enough. am i right? and i wasnt trying to disprove your statement. btw it doenst mean its impossible for a normal human to outsmart an augmented human

  • @Shift4chizzle

well, yes and no. You see, when you write a speech, your job is to get your point across, while explaining why your opinion differs from that of those whom disagree with you. I have done that.

However, many of your points about how people can overcome adversity is focused mainly on the idea that people who get these augmentations are going to become lazy. This is not always the case.

In fact, a similar issue is steroids. Very focused people sometimes take them.

  • @SetsuNinja

although, I do concede to you, that it is possible for someone without the augmentations to overcome, given enough training, but these prosthetics are designed to not only make you stronger, but faster and more dexterous. If you ask a bodybuilder to beat a machine in a strength contest, he might be able to overcome, but he will not be as flexible, in most cases.

And this is my point. The machines are designed to give you several advantages, including speed and strength

  • @SetsuNinja

and the problem there is that it is very difficult for the human body to achieve those several contradicting results. It would take a very special man to do so, in that, they would have to be incredibly focused, disciplined and naturally limber.

  • @SetsuNinja yeah they would have to be incredibly focused, but when i was giving the scenario of why a man could beat a cyborg (the augmented man) i was giving possibilites and examples of how a normal could beat him because you said it was impossible that is why i didnt have to give the other side because the other side of the story is obvious right? and games now-a-days have actually become more free if you know what i mean, if you look at some other games like GTA and stuff, ...continued

  • @Shift4chizzle

well, if your recall, I said, "Yeah... good luck with that..." meaning that I did not believe it to be possible. I went on to say that you couldn't have proven yourself better than high-tech specially augmented limbs because we have no such technology. These are both facts.

I NEVER said that such a feat was impossible, but I DID say that such an undertaking would be incredibly difficult, if NOT impossible.

  • @SetsuNinja

That is to say, because of the makeup of the human body, you would be hard-pressed to find someone who would be able to keep up with a robotic enhancement in all fields, as several of those fields cause other fields to decline (for example, someone with very large and powerful muscles will end up being much less limber than someone who is very thin).

Because they contradict each other, I find beating a machine in all areas WOULD be impossible.

  • @SetsuNinja

That is, because, the limbs depicted are designed to make you optimally strong, limber and quick, whereas the human body can't be all three.

  • @SetsuNinja yeah that is true, i hear what you are saying but you and i both know it is actually possible, even if the probability is incredibly low its still possible so there is nothing to discuss here really haha we both agree with each other.

  • @Shift4chizzle

that's the thing though, anything's possible. My point is that you could not have possibly already proven it, nor did I EVER state it was impossible, both of which are 100% true.

This isn't a victory, that's just saying, "well, we can never know for sure, derpty-doo~!" and that's not how hypothetical discussions, such as the one we have been in, are supposed to end. My point is that, should any of this happen, the chances of you being that person is very low

  • @SetsuNinja that is true which is why it would be one of the greatest feats a man has every done. humans want to feel good about them self, its human nature, and me doing this is a result of me wanted to achieve something many humans dare dream. "if you can make God bleed, people will cease to believe in him..." and these masterminds are the Gods and i will be cutting them deep.

  • @SetsuNinja for example the augmented human will be cocky as in he will underestimate the human and probably therefore over look many things, the normal human understands its great disadvantages therefore it will think better you know what i mean. especially if this normal person has the discipline and mentality of one of those shoaling monks or something haha. btw i would just like to say it is nice that you arent getting angry and acting mature during this discussion.

  • @Shift4chizzle

I am simply looking at empirical evidence. Games haven't magically gained a new level of engagement in the last few years. If people weren't engaged by the ideas

But, you are guilty of exactly what you accuse me of. You assume that people who don't take enhancements are going to be more focused than those who do. That, simply put, is something that is not fair to assume.

I also appreciate how you are handling this discussion. Such rationality... It's rare to see

  • @SetsuNinja yes GTA is old but i am giving and example. and i am not saying that the guy is correct or wrong im just telling you why he isnt wrong but at the same time not necessarily right haha. I for one dont think games have become that much more engaging because hte movies now are so action packed and have better CGI quality and everything. but sometimes when i play BF3 i really feel like im in a movie haha, its so cool.

  • WOW , After watching this video all i wanna do is go out in the streets , start a rebellion and scream things like DOWN WITH GOLDMAN SACHS

  • if they what augmentations they need to become spartans off of halo less chanece of death and also your a killing machine

  • @MultiAlex118

That whole killing machine bit is exactly one of the problems that are addressed in the trailer, even more so in the game. That being said, not all games exist in the same reality. If they had an option that would give them all the results without the risk, I'm sure that they would be much more willing to take that then stay with the prosthetic of their world.

  • Talk about motivation to play the game...great job.

  • this kind of looks retarded i think

  • This is scary im scared of the future what if tthey did turn us int machines we will all die

  • @radiation214 They wont dont worry, its unconstitutional and the government would never let that happen. Unless America gets taken over and falls it wont happen. I guarantee you it.

  • @gohamushu The American govermnet thrives on corruption. If human augmentation really did happen in the future, expect politicians in America to line their pockets with money.

  • @TemperatureIndicator Oh....then f*ck the USA then, Im moving to Austrialia!

  • @gohamushu lol. That's my attitude with America, fuck them. Americans are fine, but the government pisses me right off...clearly they abuse their power and yet they call themselves the 'good guys'.

  • @gohamushu

hahahahah! I'm sorry, you're just hilarious. You act like big corporations don't break the law, and it kills me. I'm not saying it will happen, but saying it won't because the technology would be unconstitutional? Silly at best. (tear gas at peaceful protests are a nice example of unconstitutional that happens frequently)

  • I used to take arrows to the knee, then I got augmented... Then i took an augmented arrow to the knee.

    I never asked for this...

  • Whats the soundtrack on this?

  • @ChinlessGamingTV maybe its augmented?

  • what the fack that vagina in thumbs is doing here?!

  • @CallMeMirn Maybe it's augmented. Anyway, I didn't ask for this.

  • fuck arrow to the knee meme jokes, proves how many idiots reside on this planet.

  • Nice graphics!

  • kukksen kallebug?

  • Well.. That pretty much decided it for me. I'm getting this game.

  • Here Joshtwins: ^.^ ^.^

The trailer of this game has motivated as so much, that we thought to do our new music project with it. We have composed an instrumental song with Guitar and Piano.

We have called it "Water in the Desert".. just click on our Channel to watch it! (Y)

Enjoy! :) "Water in the Desert" by Joshtwins (Original)

  • I seem to understand the game's story a bit more by this.

  • @AnjoDeGuardaThe4th Everything they say here is also said in the game.
