Your translation of the song title is almost correct, but "May be welcome" might be a more correct translation, though. In Denmark we sing "Maj Vær Velkommen", which means exactly that. "Maj" means May(the month). Swedish is closely to Danish in many respects as both languages derive from East Norse.
