Neither capitalism nor socialism is inherently good/bad. Right now, though, our nation has shifted a little bit to far to the right. Manual labor jobs pay so low that only illegals will take them. They work as hard as anyone in the country, maybe harder, and yet live like war refugees.
If these jobs just paid livable wages, Americans would take them. Two birds, one stone.

I definitely hold some Libertarian ideas in high regard. End the war on drugs, reduce the size of the military and end interventionist policies. Keep govt out of the bedrooms of consenting adults. Simplify the tax code.
I guess the main difference is that I don't trust the concept of "the free market" as it's never been implemented at all. And even a overly robust, partial implementation results in an exploited worker and consumer class.

I definitely hold some Libertarian ideas in high regard. End the war on drugs, reduce the size of the military and end interventionist policies. Keep govt out of the bedrooms of consenting adults. Simplify the tax code.

Yes, in fact, your comment revealed a dictatorial belief that religious institutions had no right to be in business since they could not cooperate with over-reaching federal mandates. So don't try to spin your position. The 1st amendment restricts the federal government from such abuses.
