  • not my choice to use glasurit 90 line. but AWX is a faster process, and alot cheaper.

glasurit color matches are better though but if u cant match , then u shouldnt paint

  • i sprayed sherwin williams for 7 years , and worked at the first shop on the west coast to use it (quality paint and body) in Visalia Ca . we were the field testers in the beginning. any ways, the shop i currently work at now is in a contract with BASF and uses Glasurit. compared to sherwin, glasurit is too damn slow of a process. there coverage, dry times, and procedures are time consuming. also when mixing color ready to spray, you have to donate at least 10 minutes to let that shit mix.

  • @ cy1957 I have now used this product for 7 months.Long story short, Ive gotten used to it. Its a long story, but if you would like to hear it, email me. I'll be glad to tell you about how Im dealing with the system now.

  • I am in the process of switching from PPG Global to AWX Waterborne and have a blog relating to this. Please read! autopicaso.blogspot. dotcom

  • The guy who put six coats on needs to try cromax pro The stuff covers in one coat

  • JPH20007 because Dupont's water is junk its the worst water on the market no lie....

  • @bigred21185

if you would rather put 3-4 coats on vs one coat then u dont make your money painting cars u must be hourly. we demoed three of the top brands dupont, ppg and glasurit and dupont blew them away with the coverage i mean one coat to cover ford FL come on to say its junk your crazy. peace out

  • DuPont Cromax-Pro basecoat is one coat coverage so why would I want to use a multi coat system?

  • @jph20007 , I just had to put 6, yes, 6 coats of PRH dodge down before coverage using AWX.

  • @Autopicaso

you missing out on a great product. i think you need to be open minded.

  • I found it amusing the way the the water bourne paint was dried, the air is supposed pass over the panel and "wick" the moisture away,, not by pointing the air stream directly at it disrupting the particulate lay down.

I wonder if he had a good colour match?

  • The Air pressue out of the blower is really low- its all you need so will not alter the particle laydown!

  • needs a lot work before you can be as go as the others
