your gfx card does support the physx, look in "Nvidia Control Panel" to switch it on and off

I heard that Left 4 Dead has problems with multicore processors, so it could be the game settings, not the video card. Turn off multicore processing in the video options (I did, and all my freezing stopped!).

I have a 9800GTX and this STILL crashes every 3 or 4 minutes with the new patch installed... maybe I need to check for new drivers? Or install the PhysX drivers? Is there any way to check if my card supports it?

I have a great setup and my system slows down a lot with PhysX on... It looks pretty but it can drop as low as 10-15fps in environments with a lot of physics. Strange, because I normally get 80-100fps with no slowdown, settings on highest and 1680x1024...

That's because when you have 2 graphics cards, it assigns one for rendering and the other for physx.

Crashes on my 8800GT every few steps in a mission so its not that fantastic.

Most have to disable it for class 8/9 cards. The 200 series seems to have less issues but people still freezing up.

"Add in "&fmt=18" instead for Very High quality. "&fmt=6" for normal High quality." Actually, it's the other way around. fmt=6 has a higher bitrate but sometimes the fmt=18 looks better because it's an mp4 file.

Or you could just add &fmt=22 for 720p, YES REAL 720P (Even in full screen the youtube player still downscales it though, but if you download the file it really is 720p)

Also it only works on videos uploaded in 720p.

I kinda fixed it now. 18 looks very similar to 6 so I thought they were at similar video quality, but it is clear that 18 has a much higher audio quality. So that's why I said 18 is higher quality - because of the audio. :)

That demo is only available for the PC. Although you still get the play the game on 360 you won't see those extra effects. Also, for the PC, you need an Nvidia graphics card with CUDA.

@Darkstorne bullshit pc is to glitchy for my tastes although i do have a pc and play on it sometimes i prefer the consoles because thats what the game standard is and theres almost no glitches but i get where your coming from.
