The fact is any human presence has potential to interfere with the lives of the animals. In most cases the animals become habituated to the tourism presence and if well guided the impacts are minimal. Due to tourism more than 800,000 acres are protected for wildlife and local people receive compensation. Without that the animals and land would be for consumption rather than conservation and in that view the light interference of tourism (only 3 vehicles on all that space) is critical to have.

Thanks for your comments Torrid. If you watch carefully you will notice that the spotlight has been done properly by avoiding shining in the eyes and instead having it off on the body which allows tourists to see the lion but not impact its eye sight nor is there any indication that these 3 lions changed their behavior in any manner due to the night drive activitiy. We then sat in complete darkness listening while they hunted to avoid interfering with the predator or the prey.

Do you really think the lions appreciate having bright lights shined on their eyes for a bunch of tourists, interrupting their ability to go about their business? : [ Poor cats, just leave them alone. I'll be sure to never go on this safari, considering how much the animals are obviously interfered with. What shit.

@TorridPassion And do you think that lions sometimes with pride and cubs, or many other cats like cheetahs and family apreciate very much be sourrounded by manny cars at same time, with people talking and laghing LOUDLY, the driver or guides explaining with insane behaviour ? and the radios cracking loudly too ? Infra red light never disturb animals. But those things I was wrtting YES . There are RULES OF BEHAVIOUR on the field which will be respected....
