@xzxzxzxzxzxzssss I know she won, she is skilled without a doubt, I just hate seeing anyone settling for anything less than giving it their all, I mean the last half of the match is just Monteiro running away to the edge of the mat to stall, that's not Judo, that's laziness. This is the philosophy of western Judo though, win at all costs, forget the principle of it, the end justifies the means.

That ticks me off, sure Monteiro had a beautiful throw, but she was content to stall, run and defend with her wazari the whole rest of the match. That's a disrespect to her opponent and to the art. One of the principles of Judo is the spirit and beauty of the commitment to an ippon with every attempt. But, that is western Judo for you, point based....

@ipponuoddi a win is a win.. sure i'd love to see a more agressive Monteiro but she was focused on the win its what she wanted and she got it so nothing to do bout that..
