This song is the best song ever made to me. It shows how a persons conscience can so easily go, and how a person can be changed by something. "Johnny's gone" i think refers to how someone has changed for the worse, in this case turned to being a criminal, which is an awesome message showing that John Butler hasn't gone completely commercial...
