  • Big Jim Brown, king of the Town

  • Did he not pose nude for Playgirl in the 1970s? How can he be complaining about today's players shaking their butts?

  • @ranchy888 pay attention he did that 6 years AFTER he retired, not when he played

  • He is old school and speaks his mind....He is awesome...No sugar coating what he thinks is wrong in the game and in life. Go Jim.

  • jim brown, john wayne, muhammed ali, clint eastwood, george formen and ppl like these might not have been angels but they sure as hell were real men, back in the days wen america was known for haveing men

  • @Da2faan yeah we went from Jim Brown to ass clowns, from john wayne to lil' wayne, from clint eastwood to guys who take wood, from george foreman to george foreskin. todays men bow down to cowardness like a bunch grade school boys wanting to be raised by soccer moms.

  • @gronlaf im not a yank but looking back on american history this deteriotion all seams pretty obvious, i could say the same for my ole england, we had gentlemen who bedded there women, raised there kids, worked there balls off and spoke there minds, now all we have is politicly correct hecunts who will tolerate every shit thrown at em,bastardised dole vermins (not all of em vermins) who get sat tv n x box games to play n a holiday in case they get bored in prison

  • @gronlaf we even have cops whom carry 2 inch dildoes to keep law n order in case snoop dog worshiping vermins decides to take there frustration out by nicking tellies n trainers becuase they cant be fussed playing a game of football wis the ever dwindling number of normal kids

  • LJ....

  • This guy is the real deal

  • my words on Jim brown the man was hard and wrong I watched his play on the football field and it was nothing less then great. I wish Jim a long life .

  • Jim Brown was even better at lacrosse than football - lacrosse being his favorite sport, by far. There is a 'Jim Brown Rule' in lacrosse b/c of his dominance. He said if he had a week of sports he'd spend 6 days playing lacrosse, and play football on Sunday.

  • Go fuck yourself Fred. Every person from an oppressed background has the legitimate right to dislike white people. Until you fuckers compensate every oppressed person with the land that was stolen from them, and the unpaid labor certain people had to do for free, allows every oppressed person to have the legitimate right to put down white people or any oppressor for that matter.

  • @brutismaximus1 ur a fuckin moron

  • @brutismaximus1 I used to get offended as a white guy when black people woud still complain about slavery. The older I get though. The more I understand the anger. If my relatives had been slaves, that were beaten and raped and treated worse then dogs. Then even when they were freed they were still oppressed for the next 100 years. I would be fucking bitter. Especially when people tell me that, I don't have a right to be upset anymore. Just don't hate all white people. Were not all bad.

  • Very true anyone has the right to feel however they wish but not all white people had relatives that owned slaves and every human being wants to be judged individually and not as a race or based on their ancestors actions. 120 years is a very short amount of time historically and I think we've made a great deal of progress since the days of slavery. Obama being elected as president when most registered voters are white is a pretty big sign of improvement and hopefully things continue improving.

  • @fredstmoritz Not jus Jim Brown we all hate u motherfucers!

  • I first knew him as a movie star, that was when I was young in Africa, after I moved to United States I discovered he actually made his name in football, he was also equally good in basketball, Lacrosse, and track (Wikipedia), I love this guy, he is multi talented, yet he never forgets where he started from, he is always willing to help people who are struggling, trying to bring down violence in black community, he is 75 yrs old and a role model to all of us.

  • @viokand The greatest Lacrosse player that ever lived! He was one special human. You should check out the movie "Jim Brown All American" It's a documentary by Spike Lee. The only SL movie I like. It's really well made his HS coach and teamates talk. If you're interested in Jim it's a must watch. I netflixed it and watched it 6 times.

  • @CobainLennon8094 thanks Cobain, I will checkout this video, I have also read his autobiography, "out of bounds", also written by him, the most interesting autobiography I have ever read, there was never a dull moment on each page, he was ruthlessly honest about his life, and I know this video will be good also because there is never a dull moment in the life of Jim Brown.

  • one of my favorite heroes!!!!

  • i pay my taxes, i want my rights,i want to be treated as an eqaul-national service comes up where you have to fight for your country like every body else and all of a sudden its fuck that not me-but treat me eqaul and i want all these rights i deserve!

  • This dude is solid, he knows what he is saying. Respect

  • Jim Brown is the best RB ever.

He was power that could not be stopped.

Football was better when he played.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • I dont think it 's possible to get a more stereotypical "white guy" to do this interview, lol.

  • @ScrewDrvr fool

  • Comment removed

  • During this interview, you are listening to and looking at the one thing that scares the shit out of White people today: An African-American male who was educated in schools of the white people, by the white people and for the white people. Jim Brown spoke about the 'buffoonery' that goes on in the NFL, which could also be extended to our schools. Black kids going to school with Ipods in their ears instead of education on their minds.

  • @Footsniffer51

I am white and respect all black people and people of all other races, don't think that all of us think this way. Some of my best firends are black.

  • Jim Brown Is A Class Act

  • 100% real black man!!!!

  • i bet he would HATE chris johnson and TO lol

  • Very true. Once you start telling the truth about the system, you become a threat and they will try to get rid of you.. This is very very true.

  • Jim brown....Ernie Davis....Floyd Little....Simply the best running backs ever to live.....if all of them were to take a picture togerther... i would hang it up in my room and never take it down....lol i just finished watching the express

  • I came here for Jim Brown the gangster hehe.

  • jim brown is a fuckin' boss, and the interviewer looks like a fag

  • I wish today's black athletes had Jim Brown's attitude.

  • @SAMRAM29 Hell Yeah

  • If more people thought this way, society would be a hell of a lot better place. Jim Brown is strength and integrity at its absolute finest.

  • Jim Brown is so freakin badass. The guy is a legend, he is honest, and speaks the truth!

  • bafunes: mayweather, artest, ochocinco, etc.

  • Education, family ,character, intelligence, humility!

  • sometimes the way he played made me think he was on steroids

  • not a bad actor either, he was pretty awesome in Any Given Sunday

  • the guy interviewing him is such a tool

  • @BEAR3OOlbs haha the guy is a total d bag

  • Jim Brown ! Sportman and actor ! WOW !!

  • @davisgreen2020 ...rapist and vandal

  • So impressive! This guy was an awesome football palyer, I saw him every Sunday in the sixties and NO ONE comes close. I saw him standing in the lobby of the Hyatt in Chicago, a really BIG man. I wished I had gone up to him and asked for his autograph.

  • BLACKBALLED from mainstream media!

  • Hell Yeah he's Oldschool! A real G.

  • Great interview ... One of the main reasons the film "JERRY MAGUIRE" was such an embarrassement ... a classic case of buffon being looked at as fun

  • "A man that teaches his son that's the thing to do should be arrested."

    Jim Brown for president!

  • He's a very wise man.

  • Bring Jim Brown Back to the UFC!!

  • Why do you have to emulate a group? Either be one or don't.

  • ...talkin' bout Battle Royals; Jack Johnson participated in a few....

  • correctness and justice

  • Supremely intelligent, INCREDIBLY inspirational! The way Jim Brown has carried himself as a man throughout his entire life.........the amount of dignity, intelligence, insightfulness & class he has consistantly displayed, has made him a tremendous source of inspiration for me personally, as an African-American male.......and as a role model for men of ALL races. I love the man....he is, quite simply, "the truth"!

  • Jim Brown a REAL American HERO !!!!!!

  • The Interviewer looks like a Scared Little Girl....

  • "Dont yell at me big, Mr. Brown!"

  • I mention Jim Brown in The History Song.

  • I wish every player in the league today could listen to these great and true words and try to get some kind of understanding about the sport that they should be GRATEFUL to play!!!!! CELEBRATIONS ON THE FIELD ARE FOR IDIOTS, IF YOU WANT ATTENTION THEN PLAY BETTER FOOTBALL , THATS ALL THE ATTENTION YOU NEED!!!!!!!!!

  • Ya it's a shame he didn't get in to politics.

  • Old School folk like Jim know what it means to be a pro

  • Why you take pryor's Money?

  • I like it when people talk about celebrities as if they know anything about them. It's amusing.

  • "I paid my dam taxes and I wanted my dam rights" ... i like it...simple and to the point. This dude is old school and is all about class, respect, education.... rock on, JB....ROCK ON!

  • @zingrich This guy is no frills. I heard him say if he had only one shirt, he would wear it every day, and it would be clean and pressed. Wealth is not the amount of money you have. It's about a richness of experience and deriving insight and becoming more human. Mr. Jim Brown is a wealthy man. His legacy speaks for itself, so he doesn't have to. He'd rather talk politics and economics than the bread and circus of sports. His comments re modern black athlete is blunt and often true.

  • Its probably why Barry Sanders never made any circuses when he scored TDs.

  • interview is bullshit he respects muhamad ali the most disrespectful athlete of all time yet he doesent respect football players doing little dances ali gave his opponents no respect whatsoever. and as for the interviewer saying "ALI DIDDINT CARE ABOUT MONEY" HAHAHAHAHAHA! biggest lie ive ever heard the only reason ali kept fighting after his sonny liston fite was for money he became greedy and full of himself

  • Killzone2...would not know greatness if it was sitting on his face.

  • ireaves is a fucking dumbfuck not once did i say i diddint think eather of them were great i just stated that ali was a disrespectful classless fool who thought he was the shit and treated people like shit they were both great

  • You have a point. But Ali had positives that outweighed his negative behavior. And Jim Brown did call out Ali for his unsportsmanlike conduct on at least two occasions, I believe.

  • Had this man not been a football player for all to appreciate, I would really like to have seen what would have happened had he had the desire and educational background to actively pursue public office. He's exceptionally bright and well-spoken. He would have made a great civil servant at the higher levels.

  • jim brown seems very intelligent, hahah the interviewer looks like he can't wait to get it over with cuz jim brown is so serious haha

  • Comment removed

  • It's a little hypocritical to criticize modern athletes for "shaking their asses", when he compliments Ali who was one of the first to do it. Or am i wrong?

  • @Jrotten11

There is a big difference between being "Politically outspoken with a cause" and just downright "baffonery". So yes....you are wrong but I dont expect "U" to understand that.....

  • "he wanted to go to heaven, so i took him in seven".

  • Like I said...."I dont expect U to understand that".

  • Yeah, you're right it doesn't make any sense that claiming "i am the greatest" is actually just being poignant and outspoken, it clearly isn't arrogance at all.

  • BENIGN NEGLECT.

  • and that means what?

  • I especially like it when Jim mentions about the now generation "not understanding the dignity of a man and how to play a game and play it hard and let it speak for yourself". It is symptomatic in rugby players now days.

    Well said Jim.

  • Im a white man,but I must say, hats off to Jim Brown. What a terrific guy. Not only a great athlete, but a highly intelligent person. When you look at guys like T.O and then look at this man,its ridiculous how different they are. Jim brown is a credit to black people everywhere.

  • @TwelveInchDick

Please don't refer to Jim Brown's comments as "a credit to Black people. " When Black people hear this from whites, it is just as offensive as the "N" word. It makes it seem as if this is the exception and all other actions are the rule of thumb-so to speak - for the race. If you weren't aware of this, then now you know.

  • @cjfl1962 Fair enough. But,he is an exception when you consider the behavior of some (not all),of todays african american athletes.

  • these young guys don't care, and don't want to hear anything anyone from the pass has to say, and women today don't want a real man, they want a girlfriend, love you Mr Brown. Great football player in the history of football.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow Jim Brown is awesome.

  • I think Jim has made some great points. However, he has not addressed the historical disconnect between players of his era and the modern era. In my mind, I don't think it's an accident that the NFL doesn't truly hold up players like Brown, Deacon Jones and Dick Butkus. It seems that Roger Goddell wants the NFL to be sports entertainment as opposed to a pure sport, which irks Brown.

  • dont get me wrong, I admire this man for his amazing play on the field (the best RB i've ever seen footage of), and for the things he's says on here...but I wonder if this is he way of thinking...humble, humility, being a good role model, why did he pose for Playgirl? just wondering what made him want to do that.

  • Jim Brown hits the nail on the head. Today's NFL is a JOKE!..It's boring and stale. During the 70's,80's & 90's, I used to wait in anticipation and excitement waiting for the NFL to kickoff, now I could care less because everything about the teams, rules, uniforms, stadiums suck! Today most teams sport tacky black cleats with black tape and black socks WHAT?..Gosh they look like shit. And some uniforms look awful YUCK! Even the NFL logo or symbol looks like a seseme street design.

  • THE GREATEST EVER!!

  • JIM BROWN IS A REAL BLACK MAN!!! Plus he is NOT wearing an earring in his ear!!! WE LOVE U JIM BROWN!!!

  • Damn if ernie davis didnt die the browns would kick ass if u are a browns fan give me a thumbs up

  • I luv Mr Brown!!!!! he doesnt like tiger woods, and i dont blame him..

  • funkmaster, if you have heard other interviews he has done he doesnt just speak on african american slavery, he talks about the LONG history of slavery. from the irish to the african americans. hes just tryin to show the young people the contrast between then and now. LONG LIVE THE GREATEST!!!!

  • jim brown loves contact and was just simply awesome i cant explain how good he was in words

  • Jim Brown=MAN

  • Jim Brown is right on the money!! I'm a black man, unapologetically old school, and see the world much like Jim does. I get sick of the childish, buffoonishness of a lot of modern black athletes--especially in the NFL! It's hard to even think of these guys as adults.

  • Man what a contrast between a clean cut pussy and a raw mean dick.

  • Despite my other comment, I would like to say overall he does have some good points in this interview.

  • Jim Brown has some great points about show boating and potential reinforcement of stereotypes with black atheletes. However I think he is completely off by compare playing in the NFL to being a slave. Its an honor to be a player in the NFL and only the most elite of atheletes can reach that point. The difference is majority of the spectators would like to be on that field too and see these guys as almost godlike. The degrading entertainment hes ref'erring to sounds more like "Bum Fights".

  • That's not what he said. He did not say that playing in the NFL is like being a slave. He said that the behavior of black athletes, in their relatively exuberant celebrations and behavior, emulates the way slaves were made to fight for the entertainment of their owners. In essence what he's saying is, be a man, have respect for yourself, don't be a slave to the entertainment of the masses. Lets be clear

I don't mean to attack you personally, but try not to put words in his mouth =) stay classy.

  • We are just having a discussion, its cool. I really wasn't trying to attack Jim Brown, the adversity he has overcome in his lifetime is inspirational to a person of any race. It just struck a nerve when slavery gets brought into a conversation about NFL players who make millions of dollars and live these ridicious lifestyles. I wasn't trying to put words in his mouth, but I guess I should have listened to more of the interview before posting a comment. Jim Brown is the man, Go Browns!

  • Jimmy Brown...Simply the Best

  • truly a great man

  • Jim Brown would tear your eyes out and then laugh like a giant.

  • bensinger seems like a relaly cool guy to sit down with, i've seen him do interviews with boxers too and he seemed like he really cared about learning from them.

  • I have a lot of respect for this man, not only for his accomplishments as a Brown, but because he's an educated man with good values.

  • Jim Brown is the man! I heard he will be in the legends sports challenge soon...has anyone heard about this?

  • I have a lot of respect for this guy.

He was great to watch when I was a kid growing up. I am glad that Jim Brown still calls it like it is. There isn't any BS with this guy.

    Thanks Mr. Brown.

  • Thanks Mr. Brown??? You know hes never gonna read that right.

  • Jim Brown broke down barriers and is very educated,well-read,spoken and respected. He played in an era of sports when it was about respect and love for a game. It takes a lot to point out wrong in your own people but he can do that because he's done more for his people in one week than players such as T.O. Chad Johnson etc have done in a life time but the point is Jim Brown is a MAN in every sense of the word and you should show him a little more respect sir.

  • its a shame he didnt say anything in the70s and 80s, when he could have made a difference. i guess it would have hurt his earning potential, but now that he's out of the public eye, he has something to say. too little, too late. to call black athletes today an embarassment is unnecessary and unproductive. i think he should only speak for himself and his generation.

  • you have no idea of what you're talking about....brown said the same things then....and he's always been active in the community....not in front of the cameras but in the street trying to broker peace....

  • hell of a job he did, too. Keep up the good work!

  • ur stupid i shuld kick u in ur balls!

  • ur gonna have to elaborate

  • Brown is telling the truth, cause many athletes today are like that, but everyone isnt.I mean if i was to run a touchdown and did a little dance lol,i would be doin it cause im happy, not b/c im arrogant or trying to act a fool

  • you aint never ran a touchdown y would you be happy u scored a touchdown the game aint over so dont comment on football if u never played

  • Um sorry to burst your bubble but i actually do play.Been playin since high school so sorry lol

  • carlos, you missed Browns point entirely. If you run into the endozone and do a little dance, it doesnt matter how you see yourself. Brown is saying that the american public will see you dance a stupid jig and they will make value judgements bsed on your behavior. It doesnt matter if you see yourself as a role model or not. Brown is saying, why reinforce negative stereotypes towards black people?

  • to tell you the truth ,I dont remember what the hell I said.I can't even find it on here accept that comment about me playin football.but whatever it was I said was a long ass time ago..so I really dont care now lol

  • I like what Mr. Brown said about the beauty of the Jews... African American should emulate some of their family values.

    I feel same.

    -jovan rameau

  • There are only TWO greatest of all time that NO ONE can doubt.

    Jim Brown-RB

    Jerry Rice-WR

  • Best Running Back Who Ever Played The Game Of Football.

  • Jim Brown, the best running back in NFL history! Nuff said.

  • she actually fell and he wasnt charged and the other incident was a aurgument with his present wife which happen to anybody. come up with something better than that why dont you buy his dvd then you will know the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Throw another woman off a balcony

  • let me tell you something you son of bitch, jim brown is a real man not someone who hides behind his computer like a real pussy! dont ever disrespect jim brown, he was never convicted of this and he has done a lot for african men with problems what have you done except say something stupid like that. leave positive black men alone .

  • He did throw a woman (a believe she was an actress) from a hotel balcony.

He was also arrested for attacking his wife.

He is a woman beating cunt who should not be lecturing anyone on being a man.

  • Say that to his face Ms. Reverse Oreo.

  • see people like you should not be commenting on things of which u know nothing about it was not a hotel room it was his home(apt) at the time he did not throw her off she jump off he never attack his wife he bust the windows in his car she got scared and call the police. know the facts before you judge.

  • the story wasn't true, get your facts straight

  • Yes it was.

  • He was aquited of both charges...perhaps you should do research before you make sweeping, unfounded generalizations

  • words of wisdom from life experiences and from a very talented great football player

  • "Paid my damn taxes, I wanted my damn rights."

    Awesome quote.

  • Well said Jim, I could agree more if I said it myself.

  • I was reading the book Jim Brown and this guy ask who is he? I said Who is he?? Who are you??!! this man is the greatest back in the history of the back. No one else have show how to be a real man than Jim. I wonder why most young people don't know him....

  • What Jim emulates is what many lack. He has been one that stands on principles which he has been part on page affecting lives daily.

  • Jim was an amazing athlete and a well spoken guy. But man he does some shortcomings. Still an impressive guy and no bullshit talk, very refreshing.

  • The best ever!!

  • yyaay jim brown rocks!~~~~

  • Great, great man.

  • many people know this man for his football playing ability but you have to respect him for his mind as well. thats part of what makes him the greatest to me.

  • very well said, he was actually as equally as a legend off the field as he was on it.
