Why does the music go really slowly then suddenly fast? (I'm not talking about the speed things) I mean it starts, well let's say "normally", then you get the super sneakers or whatever they're called... but then after that the music goes slower than "normal", then randomly speeds up to "normal".

Are you aiming for the feeling that Sonic and the enemies are larger than everything else? It looks a bit awkward, but if that's the whole point then it's good. Did you come up with the music arrangement yourself?

I'll eventually add in mushrooms and all the other Mario stuff. A guy named puto at the S2Beta forums helped me with (read: gave me) the music, which was imported using Sonic QX and converted to the Sonic 1 format.
