  • Noise fail!

  • our school fire alarm sound like this beep beep

  • @JoeWest580 @ 0:15 thats where it came frum

  • At Pershing we have that but without the horn in the background just the beeping I'm in the 6th grade lol

  • Non-standard Code-3 Voice Evac systems always throw me off. I'm surprised they're NFPA compliant.

  • @Voyage400 what does NFPA mean and also I hear buzz tone mixed with code 3

  • @nick06111226 National Fire Protection Association.

  • wheelock as, simplex 2901 9806, fire lite evac

    wheelock e70

  • sure no problem

  • After doing a little bit of research, I believe the continuous noise is coming from Simplex 9838 or 9??? series horns. Those horns are quite old from what I've seen.

  • there must have been old parts to the building with old fire alarms.

  • I love the sound but I would be horrified in person lol I'm glad I can sit behind the screen and watch this safely without bursting a ear drum

  • ouch! the NS!

  • @1013imanol thats not a ns it is an AS the NS is different

  • @simplextech9 i meant to say that... Thanks for correcting me!

  • i like your poster

  • Where is everybody?

  • wheelock AS's a simplex horn on tinuous and a firelite voice evac system with wheelock E70 speaker/strobes weird setup

  • are there 3 different alarms syncing together

  • did someone pull the fire alarm?

  • Oh, and what kind of alarms come after the Wheelock AS in the beginning?

  • Comment removed

  • a Wheelock As????

  • We had a fire alarm at school today, after 9am in the morning aswell..we only got in at 8:30am.

  • So there are Wheelock ASs on code 3 in the rooms, horns on continuous in the hallway, and a voice evacuation speaker strobes in the front, what the heck. In most buildings, all of the alarms are usually the same. The voice evacuation code 3 beeps were a little slow, lol.

  • @hyperbaricchicken101 that is true

  • @hyperbaricchicken101 one, or many, shown in the video are wheelock

  • I recognize the wheelocks on code-3 and the fire-lite voice evac in the one section but what horn is doing the continuous blast?

  • one time i was sleeping in a hotel and then beeb beebbeeb

  • The continuous horn is just like the one at my old school. Ah, memories.

  • at 0:19 mechanical horns sound cool

  • @tornadofreak1994 i think those are just plain buzzers

  • @B0BBY77 NO THEY ARENT

  • sorry just livin my life

  • Which horn are you scared of?

  • im scared of that horn lol

  • i would answer to that horn way back in preschool, at a summer camp.

  • I hear a Fire-Lite voice evac.

  • @Iamzim9 duh

  • What mode is the alarm set on with the voice evac?

    That mode sounds real cool!!!

  • That's Fire-Lite.

  • Fire Lite? that's the model or maker of the fire alarm right? what I was referring to Is that that to Code 3? Witch I believe it is as well as the Wheelock AS and the solid horns are Simplexes?

  • well i hve the as and i dnt believe u can code thos unless u hve a module in the as, so probably the as was code 3 with no module and the panel was set to coninuous for the simplexes and the evac panel was hook to tht panel, so thus two panels.....thts my thought, it might be right

  • No they could be set on dif NACs

  • @Worcester2007 it could be two different systems connected together

  • @Worcester2007 It's called Code 3 tone

  • how many different panels were those alarms hooked too? I hear one set of horns doing temporal code, a few in continuous, and a few doing a voice evac.

  • some installers do it for noise reasons. voice evac may not be able to be heard in areas where there's a lot of noise from talking or machines running. it may also be from an existing system before they installed the voice evac, and they decided to keep the horns to be able to grab people's attention better. who knows? hope this answers your question though.

    nice video!

  • @NickyVeee what kind is this i like it

  • @HalomasterA69 it's a combination of a horn/strobe system and a speaker/strobe system. at the beginning you see the Wheelock AS, but i couldn't get a glimpse of the other horn/strobes in the video. judging by the sound, i'm gonna go out on a limb and say Simplex electromechanical horns, but i'm not really sure to be honest. and then of course the speaker/strobe system at the near end.

  • @NickyVeee Ok thx man. um where can i find this kinda of a job what is it? im trying to find a job so, :) Thx.

  • @HalomasterA69 a job as a fire alarm technician? i am not a technician actually, although i did summer work with a small security company a few years back. i had to attend a few weekend courses and get some stuff signed off. you'd have to check with local security alarm install companies and see who is hiring.

  • @NickyVeee ok do u have to be 16 years and older or what? i mean im going onto the city's website now ^^

  • @HalomasterA69 why the city's website? they are not going to help you... you need to find a security system installer company or something like that in your local area. i don't know what the age requirements are either, you'll need to ask those specific companies.

  • @NickyVeee ok then. thx

  • @NickyVeee well im trying ot sighn up onto simplex here. huh.. i might need to give them a call

  • @NickyVeee what job is that? im interested.

  • @thesoulsekr It could be any number of combinations. They do make panels that have built in voice evac and they make add-on panels known as a Voice Evacuation Control Panel. In this case it could be that the simplex horns are set to run on interrupted which means that the panel isn't coding them or that some version of horns can't be coded because they are older so they code themselves to whatever the jumper is set to.

  • Yep, Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center has a combo of continuous and code 3, but NEVER two different speakers right next to each other.
