So what if it had blood. Kids have seen blood. You fall, skid your knee. blood. And the emotional beginning? What's wrong with that. It's real life. Stop underestimating kids and what they can know. Besides the fact that you focus merely on these small moments lets me know you never saw the point of the film. That adventure isn't going out and seeing the world, but spending time with the people you love. Watch the movie again...and bring some kids along. maybe you both can learn about something.

This was a really good movie. Kids are a lot smarter than googoogaga companies like Disney give them credit for, and Pixar realizes that. This was definitely a very mature film, enough so that an adult could go see it alone without feeling embarrassed, but I took my neice and she loved it.

I don't understand what you meant by "Not a 'Toy Story', none of their movies are made 'specifically' for kids, I mean yeah they do make them so they're family oriented, but they will sometimes deal with issues or sub plots and things that may deal with something that may or may not be child appropriate. Their movies are fantastic and wonserful, and they're for everyone, even if they deal with an issue like death or loss. I thought it was the best Pixar movie to date, their movies are for all.

I took Mikey to see it tonight and I loved it! I won't lie I cried a bit during the film cause the undertone of the movie, from what I gather, is something to do with forgetting your childhood dreams as you get older.....and so yeah I cried. If someone sitting beside you in a theater were to have fresh buttered popcorn, would they take it as far away from you, as possible to avoid soggyness, or keep it close to you to collect the saltyness of your tears of drama?

i just saw UP ^_^ and i really loved it! ya, i cried a bit lol, not gonna lie, but it was still there with the moral/values messages. ya, some parts are kinda tough for kids, but the thing is that the kids not old or mature enough for those parts won't actualy understand the really sad parts. and if u look at classic disney movies like lion king, its the same issue :)
