Underoath and Aaron are still very good friends and Aaron and his wife attended one of the Underoath band member's son's 1st birthday. Thomas Edison believed there was a god, he seems to be a rather intelligent fellow. Somehow I doubt religion to be a cause of a lack of intelligence though at times it can be blinding most people don't get as caught up in their religion as you seem to in your lack thereof

Then they start to speak of this mysterious light that could fit into your hand that was as dense as the entire universe, but if there is absolutely nothing there then even your theory has the same flaw as what I've heard. This is one of their less metal-ish songs, so yeah I'd say not so metalcore, but more post-hardcore.
