This zoo looks awful! a metal cage with a cement floor! Poor animals. This does not look like a comfortable life for this tiger. The owners of this zoo should be inspected and shut down! I have been to many zoos and all the animals have huge enclosures with grass trees fresh running water and as natural an environment the zoo could provide. I'm glad i got older to form my own opinions about zoos, when i was younger i was forced into going and even then i was always cried to the workers and the teachers who took us how i didn't think it was right for them to be locked up like this. Even to this day it makes me sick that people can do this and actually laugh about how these animals are kept in a prison cell.

You need to stop looking at the world through rose-tinted glasses. It's not all sunshine and rainbows out there. I'm sure we'd all like the animals to roam free in the wild but the world is changing dramaticly every day and nature simply can't adapt in time.

It is those very same "prison cells" that are needed to protect the animals and keep them from going extinct. There are more tigers alive in captivity than in the wild I believe, that's how vital zoos can be.

Oh I'm not saying I enjoy zoo's. But it's a necessary evil at this point, many species out there would be extinct if it wasnt for captivity. Some, in point of face are extinct in the wild and ONLY exist in captivity.

You might say to keep them in sanctuaries then, places that best mimic their natural environment. Granted, thats the best alternative but they are mostly non-profit areas and cant be expected to support all the animals.

Trust me, instincts would start to take back over in the stages of starvation, where their minds will be forced into thinking of ways to find prey to eat. It's exactly the case with a lion that was born and was raised by a man and wife, but then they had to release it in the wild, a year later when they came back, the lion was in charge of its own pride
