This episode of "Curb" (S8E1 - "The Divorce") reuses the same plot from "The Chinese Woman" episode of "Seinfeld" (S6E4).

The story: Larry's lawyer has a Jewish last name (Berg), but he's not really Jewish. Yet, he perpetuates the idea that he is Jewish. A shofar (Jewish ram's horn) on his desk, a Mezuzah on his door, indicating that he's a Jew but not a practicing Jew when asked about going to Temple. In the end, his legal advice is rejected when it's discovered that he's not Jewish.

@edlitz36 The plot that was recycled from "Seinfeld": Jerry's girlfriend has a Chinese last name (Chang), but she's not really Chinese. Yet, she perpetuates the idea that she is Chinese. Offering words of wisdom from Confucius, going to acupuncture class, mispronouncing L's as R's ("ri-dic-u-rous" instead of "ridiculous"). In the end, her marital advice is rejected when it's discovered that she's not Chinese. Search for/watch the video "Donna Chang" (watch?v=2YuilLVEULA).
