Not sure how anyone can make a negative connection between the water fountain and the cenotaph, they don't impact on each other. If the cenotaph WAS the water fountain however...lol!
I like the new fountain, however a nostalgic part of me would have also liked to see the old one put back to create a proper centrepiece to the maes, especially due to its historical importance.
im glad to be welsh and the fountans are very good for the kids in caernarfon why do some people like living in the past and if you think the kids wrong to take some time to lay in thair town then its you that has the problem

Thought this so called water fountain was a bloody disgrace when I saw it for the first time on the maes
right next to the war memorial .Water does attract children but when their stripped down to their underwear ,swimsuit and trunks that's something else ,didn't anyone think this through first ?. bad taste Caernarfon council got it wrong again.
