what is with the comment thing, sorry if i posted the same thing like 10 times, not trying to be a dick or anything. But to finish what i was saying i think i have a good idea why he didn't want to go to Iraq, and i don't think it had much to do with the war be unjust. Again this is just my opion he has his and i have mine you heard his and respect him and i am not even going to say what i think mine is. I saw it alot in the young soldiers when i was in. but none of our guys ran off to Canada.
This reminds me of The Sound of Music...you know...at the end how they had to flee Austria because the Nazis wanted Captain von Trapp to report for active duty? Let them stay...
I do wish all the best for you and yours, but i would like to have this debate further in the future... anyone who has input and would like to talk further, please message... manningm88 or manningm (AT) hotmail (DOT) com
This is a tragedy. The war in Iraq was not declared legally, and the subsequent military actions have been questionable in terms of collateral damage to civilians.
No one in the military should have to participate in an unlawful action that clearly defies their own morality and conscience.
Defending your homeland is honourable and just. But this Iraq action was dishonourable and unlawful. The longer we have our foreign boots on the Middle East countries soil, the more we encourage terrorism.
Since Teske was just ordered to leave Canada by a judge in Vancouver (albeit a conservative) and whilst parliament is closed, the coalition of Liberal and NDP announced that refuges from militarism, ie Iraq would be allowed to stay in Canada. But the parliament doesn't open until 26th and the damage is done. keywords: Martial law, North American Union
To Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Immigration Minister Diane Finley; If this government ignores the Canadian constitution, ignores the resolutions of the Canadian Parliament, ignores the recommendations of the Canadian Senate, ignores the decisions of the United Nations, ignores the expressed wishes of the Canadian people, to whom IS this government accountable? To George W. Bush, evidently. And that is unacceptable. Let Hinzman and all American military refugees remain in Canada!
see guys when your vote for a conservative. that why you never vote for then , there like the republian of canada. vote liberal or NDP.
