  • somewhy i cant download it.. the link is just a blank screen. i cant find it anywhere, and all the other plugins suck, so ill be very happy if you could send it to me via email :)

  • @HoulMello I have added an additional link which should enable you to download the plugin. You'll find the link in the video description.

  • @storebror21 i downloaded it, now it asks to upgrade to version 0.4, and the site still wont open!

  • @HoulMello you can download v 0.4 beta from Softpedia

  • @cresun thaaaanks!

  • @CreazyInMusic i got win 7 and it works for me :)

  • @CreazyInMusic I haven't tried it with Windows 7, but as it's just a plug in for media player, I don't see why it shouldn't work.

  • Thanks for your help,

your explaination is cystal clear & short.

  • @digitaldevilghost No, as fas as I am aware this will only work on a PC as the program acts as a plugin for Media Player and Winamp

  • Everytime I change the color from the default, it doesn't get saved. Every time I play a new song, it gets reverted back to the default color. How do I fix this please!!!!

  • @SOAB1024 You have to remember that the lyrics are downloaded from the internet and they are provided by other users, so they will always use the original font and colour as the original on the central database.

  • @storebror21 sorry to say, but this not the case : the plugin's configuration option is for customization of its appearance per user, where as the lyrics are downloaded as mere text, presented in the style the user has defined

the plugin is related to Internet Explorer, so i believe the settings must be saved to a cookie...

  • @SOAB1024 i believe the settings might be saved to a cookie, as in a web browser information file

seeing the plugin is related to Internet Explorer, you ought to make sure that the browser accepts cookies and don't delete them before they expire...

  • @cresun OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! IT WORKED FOR ME!!!!!

To all the others who are having the same problem as I am, where changes you made ( font, color) are not saving. Go to Internet Explorer, set the security level to low, and press custom and accept all cookies. Then your settings will be saved.

    Thanks again!

  • awesome

  • awsome

  • Hi, I discovered this plugin like 1 year ago but it has suddenly stopped working since 2-3 months ago. I've tried reinstalling everything and nothing happens, the screen goes blank. I'm using Windows XP and WMP 11.

Do you have any idea of what's going on? Thanks in advance.

  • @RottenUniverse There is a new version available (0.4) which you need to install. Download the program and install it, then make sure that under TOOLS, PLUGINS, that lyrics plugin is ticked. It should then work again (providing of course that the lyrics for the song you're playing are available). I've just this minute done this and it works okay for me.

  • @storebror21 Yeah I have version 0.4. I've just downloaded it from another mirror and still doesn't work. I've checked the tick on the plugins thing as well (And tried with a Jamiroquai tune). I even updated internet explorer, from version 6 to 8. I don't know what else to do... Thank you anyway dude.

  • @RottenUniverse this recently happened to me as well, same set up as you, too, and

it turns out the problem was caused by another plugin named Windows Media Player Plus!, supposedly after a crash or a terminated session...

i did, however, get lyricsplugin to work again, after get'n rid of Plus!, uninstalling the plugin, and then reinstalling the 0.4 beta...

  • Thanks a lot Storebror21 it seems that they also have an I tunes version and it works just fine for me

  • I changed my visualization in windows media player. I cant see lyrics anymore!! how can i get lyrics again! I uninstelled na d installed it again!! I was working fine! nay idea to fix this?

  • @sandipkc7 Ah you can't have visualisations AND Lyrics Plugin active at the same time. In Media Player go TOOLS Plug-Ins and make sure that Lyrics Plugin is ticked - if it's not, tick it and that should solve the problem

  • Comment removed

  • @sandipkc7 if you still experience problems with Lyrics Plugin for Windows Media Player, try a fresh install by first uninstalling it, launching WMP without the plugin, close the player, and reinstall the latest version of the plugin (which at the time being seems to only be available from Softpedia)

if you have the plugin Windows Media Player Plus! installed, i recommend you get rid of this before you reinstall Lyrics Plugin, as it caused a permanent error with the latter for me...

  • thanks alot......its working very nicely now..

    thanks :):)

  • can this work offline as well?? meaning..online for the first time the song plays??

  • @deeyanaroseadline If I understand correctly, you mean if you're not connected to the internet? In that case it wouldn't work because the plugin pulls the lyrics from a central database where the song lyrics have been uploaded.

  • @storebror21 if i play the same song 10 times. does it search the lyric everytime i play the song?

  • @deeyanaroseadline Hi. It should pull up the lyrics each time you play the song.

  • I've got a question.. I have some trouble with Internet explorer so I don't want it to run (I prefer to use Opera as a browser) sooo.. If I want to edit or search for the lyrics.. it automatically opens the Internet Explorer.. I wonder if you know if I can change it somewhere and how I can't do that? Thanks for any answer :)

  • @kristynchek93 Unfortunately I dont' think there is any way within the plugin that you can make it open another browser. Have you tried setting Opera as your default browser and asking Internet Explorer NOT to check that it is the default? This MIGHT do the trick.

  • holly shit! your voice is awesome!

  • @qwertyuiopasdfgh1111 Ha ha - thanks!

  • i can't even go to the freaking site! I've had it before but all of the sudden it stop working!

  • @EvelinaPearson looks as though their site is down. If you do a google search for lyrics plugin, you can download the plugin directly from softonic. I've just tried and this download link is working

  • thanks bro

  • It doesn't work on Windows 7 64 bit :/

  • thank you very much its help so much thx

  • I went Windows Media plugins folder and deleted the lyrics plugin dll. Downloaded the program again and reinstalled it. Same problem so I deleted the whole thing.

What a shame! It was a good program but somethings very wrong with it now.

  • I've used this for a while and suddenly all of the lyrics display in other languages, mostly Spanish. How do I get it back to English? Since I can't read foreign languages it became worthless.

  • @boothl232 The only thing I can suggest is that you go to the Windows Media plugins folder and delete the lyrics plugin dll. Download the program again and reinstall it to see if that corrects the error.

  • Anonymous page? Just wanted to thank whoever made this awesome tool

  • excilent tutoril thanks

  • Excellent tutorial. It's wonderful to have something that hasn't got some screaming rock track behind it; but I haven't downloaded the plugin because it appears not to be available for WMP 12 in 64 bit mode.

  • @Larboulois Thanks very much for your comment. Personally I HATE videos with musical backgrounds - it's too distracting. Sorry that the plug in won't work for you.

  • Do you know what to do if the lyric box wont show up? Its correctly installed and everything. Im using Winamp! Take care Storebrorsan :]

  • @FAh1en In Winamp, make sure that 'Lyrics' is ticked (under the View menu). If the lyrics for the song you're listening to are available, then a small lyrics box should pop up (it may put itself behind the main winamp window so check). I've just tried it myself with no problems.

  • @storebror21 Yeah everything seemed alright. But it wouldn't work. Maybe some bug with my computer. But i downloaded an other plugin called "Lyrik" and it worked! Nice tutorial anyway and thank you for your answer!

  • @FAh1en You're welcome. Sorry it didn't work for you, but glad you found an alternative.

  • Where I can find the lyrics in Winamp player ?

  • @TheCsnolife you need to download the plugin specific to winamp from the website.

  • nice one thanks a lot

  • thanks, i have seen that you could use lyrics in Winamp, but didn´t know how to install it :P

thanks a lot, it is really helpful, now i can sing with the song xD

  • @philippeHabbo Thank you - glad it was useful for you

  • Works great. I was putting them in manually. Thanks for the info. It is different for my version of media player. I will post a video of how it works on my version soon. Thanks again

  • @flyboy8533 I'll be interested to see your video when you've made it.

  • View Lyrics in Windows Media Player.

    1. On the Play menu, point to Captions and Subtitles, and then click On if Available.

    2. Begin playing a song that contains your custom lyrics.

    3. Click Now Playing.

Your custom lyrics will be displayed in the Video and Visualization pane.

no need to install anything else

  • Another easier way to do that is.

    1. On the Play menu, point to Captions and Subtitles, and then click On if Available.

    2. Begin playing a song that contains your custom lyrics.

    3. Click Now Playing.

Your custom lyrics will be displayed in the Video and Visualization pane.
