@pompeyollie - The individual JW is coerced into doing their door-to-door sales campaign. The average when I was a member was about 10 hours a month. So anybody not doing ten hours a month of sales was viewed as "deviant" and given "counsel" to straighten them out. It is hyped kind of like a Wal-Mart chant every Saturday morning and you get the Amway Religion hyped to you. So realize that goofy person bothering you is sincere but coerced and probably lacks any real love in their life.

What you fail to understand is that I am not singling out Jehovah's Witnesses, they were merely at my disposal. The gods portrayed in the Qu'ran, Tanakh and the Christian Bible (New testament) not to mention polytheistic religious texts like the Rig-Veda are vastly different in nature and can't all be true by your logic. Of course, each set of followers states that theirs is the true religion. Now where's the truth in that?

A friend of mine had a much funnier (and more eloquent) way of dealing with the JW's. He always reserved at least one beer on the fridge, and kept a porno near the TV. ("Tele" to you across the Pond). Whenver the poor saps would show up, he'd invite them in with open arms, pop open a beer (and invite them some), put on the porno and hit the mute button while they were giving their shpeel.
Strangely enough, he never got to try it more than once... XD
